Blackmon Mooring contests this review. The insured is responsible for paying the deductible on all homeowners insurance claims.Blackmon Mooring made several attempts to collect the deductible and sent it to collections only after the client failed to meet their contractual obligation.
As stated in the work authorization that was agreed to and signed by the insured on 02/09/2022 11:31 AM, ***** law requires a person insured under a property insurance policy to pay any deductible applicable to a claim made under the policy. It is a violation of ***** law for a seller of goods or services who reasonably expects to be paid wholly or partially from the proceeds of a property insurance claim to knowingly allow the insured person to fail to pay or assist the insured persons failure to pay the applicable insurance deductible.
