    I sought to purchase a 2015 Cadillac Escalade from this dealership BJ Ford. Byron was the salesperson. I was assured by Byron the car was in immaculate condition, however was concerned over the lack of maintenance history on the CARFAX so I asked to have the vehicle inspected at Central Houston Cadillac (at my expense and agreed because I was assured the car was looked over by him and his mechanics and was free of rust or issues). I paid $370 to Central Houston Cadillac and they found issues with the vehicle grossing over 6k in repair. All the struts/ shocks were shot, the on star didn’t work and the theft light was on, ac system was not running very cold and needed servicing and multiple leaks in the engine. Byron claims the vehicle was reinspected by their dealership (I called 1hr before closing and the vehicle still was not inspected he texts me 15 min after they opened the next day claiming it now is) and the vehicle is fine but needs 1 new strut/shock a repair that grosses 1k. Vin number of the Cadillac I had inspected was 1GYS4MKJ2FR605467. I declined purchasing the car because Byron offered me no proof at all that the vehicle was reinspected by BJ Ford and the issues found by Central Houston Cadillac are nonexistent and I asked for a refund for the inspection because we wouldn’t be in the situation if their mechanic did their job. He declined and the result is BJ Ford completely wasted my time, money and I had to pay for a job their mechanic failed to do. Bottom line, either their mechanics are incompetent and do not do their jobs or they are just trying to foist damaged problematic vehicles onto unsuspecting customers. Avoid this dealership like the plague! Very shady business practices.

    This customer called looking at vehicle on our lot he found online. He agreed to get the vehicle inspected at his expense since he was not actually looking at the vehicle. We paid an employee to drive 50 miles to Houston to the Dealer the customer chose and have the vehicle inspected . He did not purchase the vehicle after the inspection.

    Your company is dancing around the facts. No where on your listing online (before agreeing to inspection) does it state the $ 6k+ worth of damages found by Central Houston Cadillac after inspection and I also asked ***** specifically about the condition of the vehicle before agreeing to pay for an inspection. FYI, anyone can go on to your website and see the lack of maintenance history of the vehicle on the Carfax. After it was inspected I called numerous times to the manager ***** ******** and spoke to him less than 45 min to closing and the car had not been inspected by your dealership. ***** calls me 15 min after opening the next day and magically the suv is fully inspected and the 6k+ worth of repairs is now only $1k. No proof was offered by ***** so of course I’m not going to buy the suv. No one would when there are that many red flags. The inspection would have proved you were an honest dealership instead, it proved you are not and even worse adding insult to injury, y’all try to get me to buy still when no proof is offered that the issues found were nullified or nonexistent. Extremely shady business practices and it falls under Texas’ laws of deceptive trades and practices act. FYI, I can prove my case completely but BJ Ford cannot.
