We were having a new deck put on our house. My HOA required an official copy of a survey (also, I needed the property markers with GPS locations for each - HOA requirement). MSM performed the original survey on my house back in 2017 so I called them in September to get just a single official/ stamped copy of that survey. When I called them on the phone to have them send just a certified copy of the current survey, the owner answered the phone and said he was "eating lunch" and that he would call me back. He never took my name, number or address. A month later, I still had not heard back, so I called another company. Suddenly, on November 2nd, I arrive home from work and there are new survey stakes in my yard, holes everywhere that weren't filled in. On November 4th, I received an emailed copy (unofficial) of a new survey and an invoice from them. For the record, property markers were not marked with GPS coordinates as well. I responded via email and never received an acknowledgement of receipt. Today I received a call from them saying the invoice is overdo. I explained the whole situation to them again without resolution. I shouldn't have to pay for services I never requested. It's just not right for them to assume that I would have to pay for services never ordered. Even if I would have requested the services, they did not give me what I would have wanted.
