I would caution anyone looking to work with Sitterle and tell you to go elsewhere. While the initial interactions were great, my issue has repeatedly been finishes. Their contractors are subpar and I have a specific repeated issue that they say is not under warranty; however, they have attempted to "fix" twice before; the most recent less than a month ago. And now it looks exactly as it did before they came out.Sitterle Homes Response

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to your review of our company. Please see our findings on this matter. Upon our homeowner submitting a warranty for a repeat issue of cracked grout and cracking caulk, our Builder investigated the shower grout and caulk situation and advised that we would fix for this last time. We have sent our painters twice before for different areas of separating caulk, as well as our tile contractor twice before for the same area of separating grout caulk. We have taken the actions necessary to fix any cosmetic issues and/or bring any variance within the standard. Our Area Manager will deliver a tube of the grout caulk to our homeowner today so they will have if needed in the future for homeowner maintenance. Since the closing of this home, other contractors not affiliated with our company have performed tasks at the property.Review from David S

Built a home with Sitterle in **************. We love the community however look around for another builder. Sitterle customer service is terrible. They are building a house next to ours and they damaged our new landscaping and still have not repaired it. Not to mention their construction crew leave trash and a mess for us to clean up. Find another builder.Sitterle Homes Response

BEWARE... We entered and signed a contract to purchase a home being built by Sitterle Homes July 2021 and were told at the time should take 8 to 10 months to complete. We understand delays on supply chains and labor shortage but almost two years now for a production home build is unacceptable! Well here we are as of today May 30th 2023 home is still not completed. We have heard so many excuses on why it is taking so long that they stopped communicating with us. What is truly frustrating is we have watched different builders start homes on our same street one year after we started that have already finished and have people living in their homes! We were so frustrated with the long delays and the fact that the interest rate had more than doubled from where we started that we got to the point where we could no longer afford the house payments and asked that our deposit of $49,000 be returned to us so we could move on and look for something we could afford. Well to our surprise they deny to return any of our money which is part of our life savings and could not afford to lose! I'm 70 years old and will never be able to recoup the money Sitterle kept of ours and they no longer reply to any of our request.Just found out that Sitterle relisted the house for $300,000 more than what they sold it to us for and even with that greed they refuse to return any of our money!Review from J. Kinder *************** Sitterle refuses to address poor workmanship causing major damage to our sidewalk. This is after we stupidly chose the cheaper option to repair Sitterle's previous workmanship issues in our guest bathroom and laundry rooms. You would think after helping them multiple times they would be willing to help us. That was our mistake and we should have seen the red flags. Don't make the same mistake as us.Sitterle Homes Response

Location: Sitterle Homes - ************** at Kinder Ranch. Today's date: October 8, ****************************** February 2022 - knowing the expected delays (manpower, supply, and more). This issue has been explained to us by the sales representative and was told that the new house will be completed in either August or September 2022. It is October now and not even a guarantee that "closing" will happen by the end of the month. I completely understand what are the factors that cause delays, but In a few instances, the sales representative gave us bogus updates on the progress. A good example is a stucco which should have been completed and painted 3 weeks ago. Also a few weeks ago he mentioned fixing the sheetrock where the fridge connection is located at. To date, no one is touching it. The excuse is that "people are quitting jobs or just not showing up without their knowledge". I was told not to worry about the stucco and they are aiming to complete the house by the end of October. If it is true, there is a lot to do in the last 3 weeks of October - flooring is not even complete, CPS is not even showing up, irrigation, driveway, gutter, landscaping, HVAC condenser, and many more. I think that there is a huge problem with Sitterle's flow of communication. On October 7 (Friday), the cabinets are scheduled to be delivered. According to the sales representative, it didn't happen because the people working on the stucco are blocking the garage doors with their scaffolding. The delivery folks wasted their time and turned around due to an unexpected issue - clearly, this is a good example of poor communication. These cabinets should have been handed to Sitterle on the same day and ready to be installed first thing the following week. This time another thing that brings to my attention, and worries me a lot is ******* everything to finish/complete. When you do tons of things in a very short period of time it will affect the quality of work.Sitterle Homes Response

We appreciate your comments regarding the build of your home. Our Sales Professional expressed that the time frames provided were only estimates, and the updates were based on what trades communicate to our construction team. When our trades provide a date, they genuinely intend to meet it; however, it is not uncommon given the current environment for them to not show up due to unexpected circumstances. We will complete the house with the same quality of work we commit to for each of our Buyers. When things do not go as planned, we work with our Buyers to make things right because we are committed to operating with integrity.Customer Response

So what did we do? We backed out of the contract and lost the construction commitment, worth almost $15,000, and don't care anymore. Now we can sleep happy and live worry-free. Glad that we made the best decision of our lives. Money is nothing when you are trying to get out of someone's lies and unfulfilling promises. Your response didn't explain why there's a lack of communication.Review from Jesse G.

I bought a new build with warranty. Had a rising water issue due to ice maker in bar area. It damaged wooden floor and baseboards in bar area, hallways and bedrooms. cabinets were also damaged. There is a smell probably due to mold. THIS HAPPENED IN OCTOBER 2021. It is now AUGUST 2022 and I have only gotten the run around for almost a year. The drainage problem that originally caused the problem was fixed. However, since then I have only heard that they are aware of the problem, and that they are waiting on the material. I understand there would be SOME wait due to supply chain issues yet new Sitterle homes are being built daily. Funny how they have material and labor for other projects. I have contacted a 3rd party and they tell me based on wood layout most of the floor has to replaced, Sitterle only wants to replace some parts, and only when material becomes available. They are not willing to replace damaged cabinets or baseboards.Review from Jiordyn C

I had a home built by Sitterle and moved in in on March 4th 2020. I have had a few issues but they were resolved reasonably quick as the house was under warranty. They forgot to leave touch up paint, but left a roof shingles which was eventually taken away. My home was built on a Greenbelt. I recently had back surgery . In May of 2022 SAWS came and started clearing the green belt and digging to insert these pipes for drainage. They used industrial sized **** hammers, as well as cranes to remove the dirt and rock to dig the trench. I contacted my *** WHICH WAS RECENTLY turned over to Spectrum *** from KITH MANAGEMENT in March 2022. I explained the situation to Spectrum who reached out to SAWS. I was told that the project started in April 2021 while the *** WAS UNDER KITH MGMT, my foundation now has cracks, there is a Separation underneath my master bathroom and my home has shifted it has caused pictures in my home to shift. Spectrum informed me that Myself and others in our situation need to find Other avenues to resolve our issues regarding our homes. My home is a little over 2 years old. It was implied by SAWS THAT SITTERLE KNEW THIS PROJECT WAS HAPPENING, and built my home on it anyway. I feel I shouldve been informed of this PRIOR TO MY HOME BEING BUILT. I Feel I was misinformed. Now Im left with issues I may have to come out of pocket, use my insurance, or pursue legal action to remedy my situation. Ive had nothing but positive things to say about Sitterle, and paid good money for a home and expected good faith. I love my home but this is just wrongSitterle Homes Response

Sitterle Homes Director of Construction would like to contact you regarding your concerns. He will call you tomorrow, Tuesday, July 26, 2022, to set up a time to meet with you. During the contract phase, Sitterle Homes process is to always disclose information regarding future projects that we are aware of at the time. Our contract addendums contain that information in the form of a community plat map. Sitterle Homes cannot control what goes on in surrounding areas of a project. If the customer built a home with us, they would have signed a contract that states the following on page 6 of the purchase agreement. (f) SELLER does not own all of the real property within the subdivision, development or community where the Property is located, or all real property adjacent to or in the vicinity of the Property (the "Other Property"). SELLER and its sales representatives, employees and agents have not made any representation or warranty to BUYER concerning the current or future uses of any Other Property or the impact of the development of the Other Property upon the Property. Thank you for providing your review and we hope to assist you in any way that we can. Respectfully, Sitterle Homes ManagementReview from Matt M

This was the worst home building experience I have ever had. Dont just walk away from this company but run away. The sales person, ******* and the entire company should have consequences for the way they handle their business and clients. right in the middle of selections for tile and flooring and everything else they decided it would be OK to try to raise the price over $200,000. Obviously we said no and decided to take our business elsewhere. What a horrendous experience this was. Apparently there is verbiage in their contract that says if you dont start building by a certain time they can change the price on you at any time. I was wondering why I would have an appointment and then it would be six weeks before they wanted to meet again well its because they were trying to get out of the contract or raise the price on me so they were pushing back appointments and delaying on me as much as they could
