NON-COMPLIANT WITH AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT On 12/30/23, while playing tennis at 11:00 AM with the 40+Green Tree ladies team at Green Tree Tennis and ********** I was approached by the attendant, ****, about my dog who was sitting quietly by the fence inside the courts. I told him she was a service dog and she was wearing her service dog tags as well as a service dog harness. He asked me to tether her outside the courts. I immediately complied. He asked if I was a member. I told him that the law says service animals are allowed on ***** Businesses regardless of whether or not I am a club member. Then, he came back about 10 minutes later, interrupting the 2 games that were going on to pass a phone to the team co-******** **************************** Apparently, Green Tree Owner, *************************** was on the other end asking the team co-captain if my dog was a service dog. She repeated what I had already told ****. My dog sat calmly tethered outside, approximately ****** feet away from me for 2 hours while I played tennis. My dog being separated from me impeded her ability to perform her duties: ground her handler and tactile stimulation or deep pressure therapy, if necessary. The embarrassment of the interrogation also heightened my anxiety.Today, 1/2/24, I called Green Tree to find out where to email my dogs certification so I did not have to endure so much questioning. Owner *************************** answered and told me the email was not necessary because she was not going to allow my service dog at her private tennis club because no dogs were allowed.
