** They don't even deserve a star at all** They are the worst ever. I bought 4 warranties including the ************* back in 2022. My car was totaled, and they ended up keeping my refund from my warranties that I paid for! They sent the my warranty refund to the finance company back on August 2. It is now the 19th and they still haven't paid off the remaining balance on the vehicle. On the paperwork they have strict instructions you have to follow to get your vehicle paid and they state they will process the claim within 5-7 business days. My accident was on 7/11. The insurance paid my vehicle on 7/27, they sent MY WARRANTY refund to the finance company on 8/2 and they still haven't paid the remaining balance. What was the point of having the warranties if they apply it to your balance. What if I wouldn't have purchased any warranties, would they have only paid a certain amount? I paid for the warranties and I paid them(GAP) to cover what the insurance doesn't cover on my vehicle, not so they keep the warranty refund and not finish paying off my vehicle. The payment is due again on the 27th of this month, I don't know if the finance company will receive the Apex payment before the due date, probably not. Worse mistake ever having to deal with them.Apex Protection Plan Response

There isn't another GAP provider that pays GAP claims as fast as Apex. You provided the last required document on 8/8/2024 and the claim was approved the same day. Accounting processed and mailed the claim check in the amount of $3,300.11 to the lienholder the morning of 8/20/24.
With regards to your VSC cancellation refund; ALL administrators are required to refund any cancellation proceeds for products financed on the retail installment contract directly to the lienholder.
Please be advised that your GAP contract pays based on the "Outstanding Balance" as defined in your contract and any finance charges and fees applied by your financial institution after the "Date of Loss" are your responsibility.

This company needs to be shut down. False advertisement at its finest. They have no compassion for the customers they promise protection to. They denied the front end claim on my truck even when a dealership said its failed. They dont offer enough coverage for rental cars as somehow they believe a repair will only *********** days therefore you will be out a vehicle. Not to mention its only $35 rental coverage a day. (You cant rent a bike at the beach for that). To top it all off if you speak to one of the managers youll just get his normal everyday sarcastic voice in everything he says. ********************* here. Keep your money in your pocket and make your own repairs. Or pay monthly on a warranty so that way atleast you can cancel it if you dont like it and not only get less than half your money back.Review from Valerie G

Purchased Apex extended warranty 4yr/100k on my now junky 2015 Cruze LTZ that I bought in 2019 with 40k miles. *** now has 140k and warranty has ended. Apex probably paid out 3k in repairs on my little Cruze LOL. Hey 5 stars on my end no issues at all..Water Pump..Oil Cooler..And a few other things were repaired under warranty...Recently bought a 2022 Benz C300 and I asked Finance guy if they had Apex and they didn't. Went with one of their companies and hope it pays out just like Apex did. For me it was a solid warranty company and I recommend them..All repairs done at ***** dealer too. 5 stars solid company who paid out their claims.Review from Zeke A

Bought a used truck from a dealership and the dealership gave me the best warranty they had which was apex and 3 months later my trucks cv axle slipped. Well, **** denied my claim even against the constant calls from both me and the dealerships mangers and mechanics. The warranty company claims the problem was cause by rust but the problem with their claim is that the cv axel system is sealed so dust cause come from within a closed system the rust got there because of mechanical failure. They will find anything to avoid paying for repairs. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AT ALL!Review from Kevin B

Apex warranties are worthless and I do not recommend getting them. There is no value for the consumer. They are hustlers that just take your money. Too many rules and obstacles to go through to get anything done. I wish I hadnt wasted my money at the **** dealership. They sold me on it like it was a good deal. Their windshield warranty is the worst I have ever seen. Best Windsheild warranty is through Jeep dealership. I ever had out of pocket expense to replace my Jeep windshield (4 times). Do not get any warranty from apex company.Review from Linda H

Bought a 2020 **** eco sport, and added the apex protection plan. My engine broke down after almost 3years, and its been a nightmare trying to get Apex to cover anything. They are making the mechanic tear apart specific parts of the engine then an adjuster/inspector comes and looks at it three days later. Ive had my car in the shop for almost 2 months. Instead of just replacing the engine they have the Mechanic tear it apart again and send out the adjuster again. The engine wont run and they are doing everything to avoid paying for it. Do not buy, its a waste of money.Review from Travis G

We bought a ******* Santa Fe in November of 20. In May of 23 the motor spun a rod bearing. When we bought the vehicle, we purchased the apex pro plan, which is supposed to cover an issue like this one. We brought the vehicle into the local ******* dealership for repair. We were told a few days later, Apex requires an inspection and we would be on the hook for that bill, which would be $500. I gave approval, and paid the dealership to do a teardown. No big deal, because it is in the contract. After the teardown, the dealership calls to inform us Apex now wants all service records of every oil change. Fine. We provided all but 3 service records, because there were times it was more convenient to do it myself than wait until the following week to get it into the dealership. Apparently I should've kept every single receipt because all of a sudden Apex wants to leave me on the hook for this repair. They even refused to come out and inspect the vehicle over THREE missing service receipts over the ****** miles we have put on this vehicle. Apex, listen very closely... I WILL BE TAKING LEGAL ACTION and I will go after every single ***** you have cost me and anything extra I can squeeze out of you for this inconvenience. I will be talking to an attorney to also see what the chances of bringing forth a class action lawsuit are.Review from Amanda S

I have had my vehicle for a little over a year now and just now started having a ton of problems. The dealership I took it to let me know of an oil leak that is going on but that APEX won't cover it because its not "bad enough" yet. My catalytic converter is cracked and again, they won't cover it. I do not know what the point of paying for extended warranty is when things go wrong with your vehicle and they won't cover anything. They did cover my seat needing to be fixed BUT won't cover all of the labor so I'm out another $78 on top of my $100 deductible. Would not recommend this company to ANYONE!!!
