I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding the ongoing issues my 19-year-old daughter has experienced with the car she purchased from your dealership. As a full-time student coming from humble beginnings, she was incredibly proud to have been able to purchase her first car, a 2015 Volkswagen, despite limited financial resources and no parental financial support. She chose to buy from your dealership because she believed you to be trustworthy and hoped to obtain a reliable vehicle for her daily needs. When she bought the car, your team assured her that it had been thoroughly checked by your mechanics and was ready for sale. Unfortunately, just three months after purchasing it, the car began leaking oil. After bringing it back to your service department, she paid approximately $1,400 for a list of repairs. However, she was informed she would need to return for further issues.Eight to nine months after purchasing the car, she returned for additional repairs, and this time was charged another $2,300. Despite the financial burden, she felt relieved that, with these repairs, the car would finally be reliable. It has now been only two to three weeks since her last visit, and the car is leaking oil again and in significant amounts. She has attempted to contact your dealership through texts and calls, but has not received a response. As a young student struggling to make ends meet, she cannot afford to continually pay for repairs on a car she is still making payments on. This situation has left her feeling taken advantage of and overwhelmed.

*****, we are sorry to hear that your daughter's vehicle has had an ongoing oil leak. We understand there has been some suggested services that were declined for repairs, but we still want to help where we can. Especially because you are family of an employee here.

Horrible dealer, I brought my ****** mile VW Alltrack in for an oil change and they came back with $4300 in 'dealer recommended' service. Replacing parts that were not due for another ****** miles and said my tires (with 8/32 tread) were due for replacement. Never, never would recommend this money gouging service department, or the bait and switch new car sales department that told me they could get me an iD4 sooner than my wait list reservation with VW of America, but I had to cancel my order. I did that, and they 'made a mistake' by saying their car was AWD when it wasn't. Called the General Manager to complain and he said 'it's a training opportunity for them' VW of America customer care said they couldn't get my reservation back so I was out of luck. I wouldn't buy another car from this dealer.

****, we are sorry to hear that you've been unsatisfied with our dealership. We show your last visit in service was almost a year ago, and the ID.4 purchase back in 2022. A lot has changed in that time, so we hope we get the opportunity to regain your trust in the future.

This dealership is terrible. The problem started in August in 2023 and continued until June 2024.They changed my oil on a 2022 Tiguan for the second time, i only had one oil change before that, after that my check oil light starts coming on.I called the dealership they said it was normal and to just add oil.I said I would like to bring it in and they said oh its normal with that type of engine. It ***** more oil cause its a turbo engine. So I added the oil they told me to, the light continued to come on and I continued to call the dealership.I had finally had it and made an appointment to bring my car in. I brought my car in the end of February and when I arrived they had no appointment for me any more,I asked to speak to a mgr due to the deleted appointment and no other notes notated on my account of me calling in anytime,*** in service told me that he had documented proof that the type of engine I had burned extra oil,I said it wasnt normal how often I was adding oil into my car, another service employee told him to not waste his breath on me and went to get a manger only to say that they didnt have one 10 minutes later.I left and brought my vehicle in again 2 weeks later just to be told I didnt have an appointment again.I asked to get a rental car and I would just leave my car with them to go over it and fix the oil problem and they told me they couldnt offer me one due to me having progressive car insurance.I asked how I was going to get home an hour away from the dealership they told me to take the bus I asked repeatedly to talk to a mgr and every time I called I left message after message and got corporate involved and the ** didnt even know of my issue until I was finally able to talk to him months from when the issue started that conversation ended with the gm telling me I lied about bringing my vehicle in to get fixed and that Im just blaming them for a problem that I am stuck with and a check oil light wasnt bad I just needed to pay attention to it

Jaramee, we are sorry to hear about your frustrations with the oil consumption and feeling like the dealership isn't servicing your needs. Volkswagen does require another oil consumption test, and you missed the appointment to test the levels. Therefore, the first step is to restart the oil consumption test before any additional services can be provided. Any Volkswagen can assist you with this, if you feel our location is not meeting your expectations.

******* and ******* at Volkswagen *********** have made us decide that we will NEVER buy a Volkswagen again. And we will tell everyone that we know to steer clear as well. Through the process of getting a new car we VERY CLEARLY asked them questions MULTIPLE times, and they blatantly lied to us. They are so dishonest just to get a sale. Well now they will never get a sale from us or anyone else that we know..

These guys are nothing but scam artists. Bought a brand new 2023 Atlas and get into the finance managers office to find out they had added a $750 charge for leather protection. First, why the h*** is it $750 to spray a $20 bottle of stuff on the seats and second, when I questioned them about it they said they couldn't give me the agreed upon price of the car unless I also got this additional product. What a load of c*** and shady way of doing business! I should have walked out but by that time it was late and we had already been there a few hours so I went ahead with the deal. They said they would call us to schedule an appointment to have the leather protection added on. Never got a call. A few months go by and I ask them if I can get that money refunded since they never put the protection on but I was charged for it. They said they would look into it and provide evidence that it was done and call me back. A few more weeks and no call. I called them back and asked about it and they send me an email with a bogus request order for a day my wife took the car in for service that they wrote that the leather and paint protection was added. This is 100% BS! Yes my wife took the car in that day, but they took one look at the mileage and told her service wasn't needed and sent her on her way. They never touched the car to add any kind of leather protection. Just a bunch of lying scum bags! Stay away if you value your money.

Cade, We are sorry to hear that your recent purchase experience did not meet your expectations. We take pride in being fully transparent with the costs of any after market products purchased, and whether or not they're cancelable. Their cancelation policies are also documented on the contracts themselves. We do have a repair order that product has been applied to the 2023 Atlas, and unfortunately, this is one of **************** items that is non-cancelable. Our customer relations manager, *********************, who you've spoken to in the past, will email you the repair order.

Bought an extended warranty that I didnt not know about. Canceled it and the money is not coming to me but to the dealership and I have to wait for the dealership to get the funds before they will cut me a check. I dont feel this is right because it bought the warranty why shouldnt I get the money vs it going to the dealership! Now when I call and get a status on when I can get my money they transfer me all over instead of wanting to talk with me.

********, we are sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with the process required to process your pro-rated reimbursement of the voluntary after market products purchased with your vehicle. We cannot issue funds that we do not have, therefore, we have to wait for the warranty company to issue us payment in order for us to cut you the check. This is to mitigate any potential risk.

Big mistake buying from VW Southtown. I usually do a better job checking with other dealerships. ************ gave me a pretty good deal according to them, however checking with ********* and ******* I could have gotten the same make and model for at least a $1000 less and the interest rate would have been 2.9% for 72 months instead of the 5.9% they charged me.. Buyer beware - I usually don't go with the first offer which I did with ************ and now I have to live with my mistakes and extra charges. Hope this helps someone - buyer beware!!!!!

Both of my airbags on my brand new 2023 GTI are not working along with some other issues. Called to get a service appointment set up and was unfortunately connected with *******. After I told him I couldn't leave the car on the coming Monday morning as I needed to go to work he then told me to "find a ride" or he can schedule me over a week later after I already said multiple times, I don't feel comfortable with no airbags as I live in **** and the snow has started making driving conditions difficult. He wouldn't listen and I said "I know you guys have a shuttle service so why do you tell me to find my own ride" then he goes yea we do have a shuttle service. Okay why didn't you say that the first time? This is the second brand new car I've bought from here been a loyal customer since 2021 never missed a payment so it's really frustrating when your basic safety is not cared for by the employees. If this was some issue with nearly anything else, fine schedule me next 2 weeks out. But when I say I don't feel safe without airbags in these conditions and this is how I'm treated. Not to mention every car should be equipped with functioning airbags especially a brand new car. Speaking with ******* truly made me regret ever buying the car because his lack of empathy and skill. Finally got connected with **** and he was very nice and actually came up with a solution for me instead of "you can find a ride" ******* has horrible customer service I suggest you don't let him pick up a phone again unless you want to leave customers feeling like you mean nothing to them

The service department is a joke. We had a recall on or breaks. Took the car in for new brakes and thought everything was good. Nope 2 months later, brakes are screeching. Took the car back in. Apparently the new brakes are worn down to nothing. So, they replaced our brand new brakes with new brakes again, Mind you, no loner car was given and it took several days to have everything looked at and repaired. This is our only vehicle so we paid for a rental car out of our own pocket. A few days later, the brakes started to squeal when stopping. So again, for the third time, we take the car in. They tell us the brakes look fine and the squealing is normal. Umm excuse me, Im not an idiot, squealing brakes are not normal! In order to have a main line diagnostic tech look at the brakes they are wanted to charge us $170 just to look at them. What a ripoff! Oh and Ill also be two weeks before we can get an appointment to have that done. This problem didnt exist prior to the original recall replacement and now you want to charge us just to diagnose why they are acting the way they are, ie to diagnose what you messed up?! What a scam!!!! I hate hate HATE VW Southtowne service department! Youre no better then some scam garage.

Window switch wasn't working.Lol what a ripoff company, they wouldn't cover it under warranty then they said it was an electrical fault and wanted me to pay a diagnostic fee. Had them argue with me and try to justify the electrical fault that they diagnosed. I said "nfw that they plug the car in and get an electrical fault diagnosis coming from the window button"They argued again.Turned out it was a small rock that got wedged in under the button. Not sure how the electrons flowed from the rock to their diagnostic computer. Thanks for the argument, subsequent lie, and the invitation to not come to your place of business again. (The uninvitation wasn't necessary btw)Buyer beware.
