I purchased a new Chrysler ******** Minivan from Lindsay Automotive on 1/15/17. I also purchased a platinum extended warranty through ******** warranty services through an offer provided by the dealer. I have the original signed document showing both my wife's and the dealerships signatures and date. The warranty I purchased was for 10 years and 100,000 miles with a policy number of ************. In late July I needed a repair service provided on my car. The warranty was declined as the dealer filed a 6 year, 72,000 mile warranty with ******** Warranty Services. There was an entirely different warranty on file with a policy number of ************. It is unclear how a new policy number and terms could be filed without my consent or signature. I have reached out several times dating back to August 11th to the dealership and they have been unresponsive. On 8/25/23 I emailed requesting proof of a signed document saying we purchased a 6 yr 72,000 mile warranty and to be reimbursed for the denied claim amount of $2,800 by close of business on 8/28/23. No response was provided. I then spoke with a representative from the Virginia Motor Vehicle Dealer Board (MVDB) and a claim was filed on August 29, 2023. No response from the dealer has been received and no there has been no resolution to the falsified documents the dealership filed in my name.
