The team was fast and professional!!One of the team members (from Harlem ********) was an amazing worker! He represents Bold Moving and Storage Company very well! Thank you bold moving and storage for the great service you gave my family on this move. Ive heard and read so many rumors about moving companies, and when I chose one, I was very skeptical, nervous and scared but the service bowl moving is storage gave me I look at movers differently. Everything went perfect and I mean perfect from beginning to end. From when I first called bold, I talked to sales representative whose name is ***. This man was fabulous. He walked me through everything explained everything to me and gave me a good price. We did a ******** to confirm how many cubic feet we had. He told me, as long as I dont add anything on to my inventory, this will be the price I pay, and he said he stands behind that. Then upon us receiving our furniture and belongings, ***, the ******* was a gentleman and him and his two men crew worked in tandem. They were so good. I couldnt believe how fast they took everything off the truck and put everything back together. Our furniture looked as if we never moved it from one place to another. There was no damage to nothing which I was so surprised , but pleased. then, going back to a *** said my price would not go any higher that he quoted me at. And that was 100% true this journey I had with bold moving and storage was wonderful and thats an understatement. Thats how good this company is I recommend bold, moving and storage to any who wants to move. Three cheers for bold movie and storage. Anybody who asked me about a mover I will let them know bold moving and storage.Review from SUNNY

Nice guys who pick up and deliver, truly this review is not in any way shape or form a reflection of them. BUT ...Terrible communication from sales regarding insurance, and terrible management about delivery time and date, TERRIBLE customer service. They delivered ********** PM in the rain in the dark it is not really a surprise this crated table top broke. I am sure their guys were tired. ZERO responsibility for damage to items. ASK ABOUT THEIR INSURANCE POLICY- they do not pay if they break anything. They also do not ask you when they are selling you their services, or at pick up to choose an insurance policy, SO they choose the one where they are least liable, and ask you to sign during a hectic and stressful time. **************** learned. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY- Better off using a more reputable company. I wish I had had time to look at ****** reviews before hiring them, and am just super grateful only two things were broken- although the glass top 8ft x 4ft below cost $2700 to replace and they are offering me $300??- and $50 for a $600 ottoman. I have been lucky in life to not have come across people like this often, and it has been a great reminder to do your homework. Like I said the pick up team and delivery team were very nice - sorry their employers aren't. Will not use them again. Such a huge bummer to have to share this information, but I would hate to have some other person have this happen to them. Salesman was ***, manager for this move was ***. I see other happy reviews so maybe it was just the team I ended up with? I would be remiss to not write a review, which I rarely do.Review from MacKay B

Beware of Bold Moving and Storage! We hired them to move us from Irvington to Richmond. We really wanted to support a local company. The move began with the movers knocking a hole in our and it was all downhill from there. They couldn’t figure out how to move several pieces of furniture, so my husband and I had to move those pieces ourselves. The movers did not wrap many of our items, causing damage to MANY of our personal items and pieces of furniture. Many pieces were broken beyond repair—shattered an antique bird bath, shattered a sink from Mexico, broke several pieces of antique furniture, banged up a brand new outdoor kitchen, the list goes on and on and on. Thousands of dollars worth of damage. The owner told us he’d “make things right” and asked us to get estimates on repairing and replacing our broken and damaged items, which we did. We even used a furniture repair shop that he recommended. He did not respond to our email with these estimates, so we called him—and he could not have been ruder or more unprofessional. He even cussed at us. We really wanted to settle this matter amicably but the owner clearly does not know how to deal on a personal level with people who have been through a really traumatic move. If he had worked with us to resolve things, I never would write a review like this—but he is refusing to compensate us. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT use Bold Moving and Storage. Thank you for choosing our company, and we apologize about any damage that occurred. We have been nothing but nice to y’all, we offered to patch the hole, your husband declined, and we even offered to settle amicably, despite you talking down to us and insulting our schooling, and lack there of. We are sorry that we aren’t attorneys and you’re right we didn’t go to law school, we are movers. You also said you were going to take an ad out in the paper to put us on blast, at which point I said that is bs, and I’m sorry that language offended you, however when your threatening my employees livelihood and theoretically taking food off my daughters table it is very unsettling. So not sure how that’s amicable, and now you’re doing exactly that before we even processed your claim, which we just received on Friday. But it’s cool, we are a small business, one that has over thirty employees all with families, including myself with a three year old. I hope this post makes you feel better, I hope that it gives you the warm and fuzzies, because it makes me sick. Sick that I have so many people that depend on me, and I have a client who wants to extort us for more money than the valuation they selected and what is actually due back to them.Review from Rachel G

Bold Moving And Storage needs to be stopped!!! This company moved all my belongings from ********* Florida on August 15th as scheduled. No complaint there. Movers were quick and professional. According to the contract my delivery date was August 18th. At no time did me and any of those people discuss keeping my stuff. Today is September 3rd and I have yet to get a specific date as to when my belongings will arrive including the ashes for my husband who will have one year anniversary on September 8th. At my most vulnerable these people pulled a bait and switch. I am now living for three weeks in an empty place without even a bed. There was never any hesitation handing over my money, but the transaction is not finish yet.Shame on you ****, **** and ***! Think if you would want any of your loved ones to go through this while they're mourning their life partner.Review from Jennifer A

This company took a $800+ deposit to pack and move the contents of my home to a new location. When I called to set up the date and time and asked about the pack, unpacking, and setting up of my furniture they tell me they dont pack. They just breakdown my beds and furniture and put them back together at my new place. This was not the understanding we had. I explained to ******** had 2 failed back surgeries and could not do any bending or lifting so I would need their services to pack, unpack, breakdown and putting back together of my furnitures. They misrepresented what they could and could not do in the conversation that took an 1.5 hours.Review from Jaime J

I am extremely sorry I chose this company for my move, and they have absolutely damaged my trust in the moving industry in general. Absolutely avoid them if you have the option.I have moved across country 5 times, not to mention 10+ in-town moves in over the years. The *only* time I've ever had anything damaged was when I hired Bold Moving & Storage. They destroyed (1) a 55" TV, packed carefully in a TV box; (2) a dining table (wrapped in a single thin blanket, which ripped, then dragged along the floor, scraped beyond repair); (3) the table leaf, dropped on its corner and smashed, with other pieces broken off and not reparable; and (4) a concrete statue, a gift from a loved one & worth nearly $400, broken in half during the move.Beyond damage, the company refused to give info about when my move would take place. After multiple calls and texts from me I was finally given a 2-day window, but 24 hours before that window still had not heard when movers would arrive. At 6 pm the day before the window, I heard back that they would pick up on day 2 of the window. Then, after movers packed my items, I received a call asking if I could take delivery of the items at 3 p.m. that same afternoon. This was an interstate move; I had told them from the start that I needed 1 day between pick-up & drop-off, and was a 6-hour drive away. IMPOSSIBLE. Result: I waited 3 days for delivery. That was fine except communication had been so terrible--and I had to reserve elevators at the move-in location.Post-move I called about the damage and asked how to make a claim. Instead of information, I received a 10-minute lecture about how the damage was my fault and that my move was "difficult" (it was not). **** insisted I should "give him a number" (I assume a $ amount to avoid insurance claims?). I asked to complete a formal claim process, submitted paperwork, and now, more than a month later, am still waiting. I can only assume at this point that they are essentially a scam operation.Bold Moving and Storage Response

*****, we moved you on the date you wanted, we even offered to move it in right away, and you would not be there, so we made alternate arrangements with you, and i think you fail to mention in your feedback that the alternate date you original requested was July 4th. This is America, we love our country, so do our crew members, and you can imagine how difficult it is to move someone in on july 4th, so we moved you in the next day, as you requested, and we mutually agreed on. Post move, i offered you more money than was owed on your formal claim, to make it easier for you, but you refused to state a number, and wanted to do a formal claim. To date, we still have not received your formal claim paperwork, which *** just resent to you, and left you a message. Give us a call when you can and we will make it right.Review from Mayra M

Had a wonderful experience with ****** and *** as my pick up crew. They were prompt and efficient. They were very professional and courteous. They disassembled some of my furniture with care and transferred all my boxes and belongings the same way. They gave me inventory on all my property. 1st of all they came a day early which we didnt want but had no other choice. Since this company was out of town and we were in pa i sent them a complete inventory of what was in the house from a local company that went thru and listed all the inventory. I sent that to them. They came back with price of ***** or so. The guys got there went thru house and they said it was going to be around ***** more. At that point we had no other choice but to agree. The 2 movers were polite but were very slow. Plus they made them selves at home going into our fridge for drinks, not asking. The move started on a wednesday and ended terribly late thurs evening. It was around 8 pm and they told us they would not load any more items cause we went to far on truck. My wife was shaking at that point called the supervisor and he said dont worry we r here to help, it will be ***** more. Or he suggested we get a uhaul in morning and pack the rest ourselves and get a little storage unit. By this time wife was shaking and asked to talk to head of company who was *************************** a very arrogant man. He said to me i quote i actually saw the stuff u guys have and dosent look like its worth anything. That hurt. Then my wife got back on phone with him a pleaded please take rest of our stuff, how could u live with urself as a person. Then he wanted to speak with me and told me this. It is 8:15 now, i will give u 45 minutes to pack what u want and my guys will load it, by 9:00 there finished. So this is how we had to finish packing our house which never did get done by 9. And sure enough 9:00 pm they stopped and left us with still a lot of items that had to go. I had to rent u haul next day to move remaining items to a storage unit. The move was to ******* from **. They were 2 weeks late because of truck failure. We r still missing a lot of items plus there was some damaged items also. I would not recommend this company to any one it was a horrible experience for us. I would give them a 0Review from Cindy M

Excellent long distance moving company. The customer service cannot be beat- attentive and helpful. The movers are thorough and courteous. All of my furniture was wrapped well, or disassembled and then reassembled at delivery (that cost is included). Pricing was all upfront and Bold honored the estimate. My furniture was delivered on the date requested, as well. Moving is stressful, but Bold helps ease both the workload and the concerns!
