A total clown show! I hired University ************** Commercial Div, to install tires that I purchased from them, on my backhoe. They actually showed up on time with the tires I ordered! That's when everything went downhill. The tech could not remove the rear tires and kept blaming the weather (it was 50 degrees) that it was too cold. After several hours, he was able to install the front tires but the air compressor on his truck didn't work which resulted and in him calling for a boom equipped truck to help out. Truck shows up with the sales *** not an additional technician, and the technician spent the next 3 1/2 hours trying to rip the rear tires off the backhoe. Note that earlier in the day I suggested that the technician could use a grinder to cut the bead but he didn't have a grinder. Trying to pull the rear tires off with a boom, damaged the right rear rim and who knows what damage I'll find in the near future that's been done to the transaxle. Well, after several hours the technician literally ripped the rear tires off but then he couldn't get the rear tires inflated. The sales *** wanted to get home so at 5:30pm they decided to leave. Note that the backhoe had to be left out a mile from my home on the side of the road overnight. The technician and sales *** didn't seem to care. The next morning the technician shows up with tubes for the tires and after a while I have a backhoe with new tires, one damaged rim and who knows what damage has been done to the transaxle. Total clown show. I don't totally blame the technician, but why are service trucks being sent out without being operationally checked, why don't they have simple grinders, why don't they have a set of torches onboard to cut beads? Finally why don't they have tubes onboard just in case. Especially with the tires I purchased from them since they are a very common size. In the end they charged me $1050 in labor to install the tires and to damage my rim and who knows what else on the machine!Review from Matthew H

I recently took my car to University *********** due to a misfire issue. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment.Initially, I spent $1100 on what was supposed to be an essential service, including an oil change and an engine cleaning. Regrettably, this did not resolve the misfire issue, rendering my expenditure seemingly unnecessary. Frustrated, I contacted the shop, and they agreed to reevaluate my car.To my dismay, I was charged an additional $65 for a diagnostic fee as they claimed to have identified two new codes. This raised concerns about the thoroughness of their initial examination. They advised me to go to a VW dealership for an update, claiming it was the solution to my misfire problem.Seeking a second opinion, I took my car to a reputable European shop. They quickly debunked the advice given by university ***********, stating that the misfire issue did not require a costly update from VW. Instead, they identified and promptly resolved the problem by replacing the camshaft sensor. Moreover, they assured me that the engine cleaning recommended by University *********** was unnecessary. In summary, my experience with University *********** left me dissatisfied and out of pocket. The misdiagnosis, coupled with the unnecessary services and charges, raises concerns about the shop's expertise and integrity. I would caution others to seek second opinions before committing to services recommended by University ***********.Review from kharp h

Excessive Repairs and Car went there for tires only. And was there over several hours this company tried to convince the car needed Breaks/rotors, break flushed and so on. They gave a bill of $1700. We ask did your company do the work because did not authorize the work. When in fact the car was Inspected Feb 2023. and brakes were put on the vehicle. When driving the car, it starts to vibrates up to 50mph. I paid to have 4 tires mount/balanced $99.80 and Alignment $99.95 There is no possible way if this was done the car should never vibrate. I do not want my vehicle to go back there due to the fact what went on there. I called the company and let a message which I recorded and No one has Responded back. Just because this is a COLLGE TOWN in my opinion the are telling students a story and hopefully the students parent will pay for unnecessary repairs.Review from Christy B.

Purchased a set of ********* tires with warranty. Also had a full alignment done with this purchase. A few weeks later I had to go back because my car was pulling. NEEDLESS TO SAY I have been back to University tire (several locations) 7xs due to alignment. LONG STORY SHORT I HAD TO PURCHASE A ALIGNMENT AT ******** WHEN I HAD MY CAR SERVICE. Edward the tech at ******** advised me that I need new tires ..So I stop by Ruckersville location spoke with Adam director he made copies of my alignment from *******. WHEN ME and Adam spoke he supposed to obtain copies of the alignment from Seminole,Forrest Lakes and Ruckersville locations but wasn't able too..I was told they had a power surge which control all locations equipment so he couldn't get my vehicle records from each locations. Adam advised me he was going to get with the field rep to see what his options were to give him a week never back from him..Made another to the office he stats he was going to call the factory to see if they call come up with a solution.I was told I need to send the tires back to factory with only 15%.. So this means I have to purchase more tires and another alignment which is not suitable to me at all.. I wonder if they would for like for their family members to be treated this Way!!!!..Not a good business....Review from LILY P

I changed my tire at University Tire and Auto at Cherry Ave shop 2 weeks ago, and today found that the new tire was flat in my parking lot. I have not driven this car in the past 7 days. When I sent my car to their shop for repair, the shop manager Trevor was very rude. He told me that I need a new tire again because the tire damaged due to low pressure driven. I have to pay full price for it. The tire had no nail nor experienced road Haszard. it only driven no more than 50 miles after the tire changed. When I asked him why this new tire leaking air? He said " I don't know the reason, it could be the cold weather" When I questioned him why my other 3 old tire were ok with the cold weather, could be because of a bad tire or was not installed properly, because new tire should not leak air like this one? He became very angry, yelling, shouting out Lond toward me. He said " No. we installed the tire right and nothing wrong with the tire. It could be you let the air out yourself" I have never seen an unprofessional, rude person like Travor. At the end I paid $***** for a new tire after I called the regional manager and made a complaint. I don't think i should have paid for it at all, it apparently due to a problem with the tire, or a problem with their installation that is causing this today. I have been treated unfairly at this shop, probably, because I am a woman and a minority.
