Mr. ******** - I'm so sorry to hear about your impression of our office visit with our provider online through the BBB and not through our office. Please allow me a moment to reply to your feedback:
1. "On my first appointment with **************** he told me that he did not looked at my ex-rays or CT scan from ER he did not evaluate my foot either but he wanted to release me back to work."
a. **************** had not received a copy of your images and scan from the ** due to the fact that we saw you very quickly after your ** visit. We had requested the imaging, but we had not received it yet. That was communicated to you by ****************. He did however receive information about the fractures and was prepared to refer you to the proper providers knowing that you would need to see Podiatry AND Ortho. This is the * & I standard process.
2. "I asked him if he could refer me to the ortho specialist because that is what ER doctor did to be evaluated by Orthopedic doctor about my fractures due to abnormality of it and let the specialist decide what to do in my situation. He told me that he can only refer me after releasing me back to work."
a. Being released back to work does not mean that you are able to go back to full duty without restrictions. We are obligated by *&I to provide your employer, you and the states case manager a record of the visit and list the restrictions that should be put on you should you return to work. Our provider informs your employer what you ARE able to accomplish in the work environment. This was communicated to you at the time of visit also.
b. A provider should note if driving capacity is impacted and for how long on APF - then it is up to the worker, employer, HSC/VRC, CM to determine HOW to make RTW happen (i.e. with remote work, coworker rideshare, etc.). This is direct feedback from a case manager. This is what our provider was attempting to do when you refused further treatment and decided to leave the facility.
It is our understanding that you were able to receive treatment as you requested it and we wish you the best of luck in your recovery.
