I purchased a Horizon T101 in January 2024 and the treadmill started smelling like smoke and stopped working within a month. The company sent a technician who determined the motor and control panel needed to be replaced. A month later the parts came in and the machine was fixed, only to break down again within 2-3 weeks. The machine burned out and was repaired two more times before the company determined that the machine was a lemon and sent us a new unit. The unit arrived at the beginning of August 2024 and by mid September 2024 the second unit started smelling like smore and stopped working. A technician was sent a month later and determined that the motor and control panel had burned out once again. At this point we called the company asking for a refund since we feared the warranty would expire after a year from the original purchase and we would be left with a very expensive paperweight in our home. The company said that since we were refusing repairs that we needed to contact ****** to ask if they would give us a refund. The company advertised this unit as suitable for daily use. We used it daily by walking at under 3mph. The machine was lubricated and cared for according to instructions, but both units sent to us broke down within weeks. The company is misrepresenting this product as meant for daily use, then refuses to refund the purchase when it is obvious the machine cannot perform as advertised. Buyer beware.
