The owner of Frens Automotive LLC, located at 501 E. Main St., Waupun, Wisconsin, informed the BBB Wisconsin on June 14, 2024 that its name and business has been used fraudulently. It notified BBB that its name and website information had been hijacked by what he believes to be scammers located overseas. They have created a website using his name to sell classic cars online - and they are even listing its former Waupun address and other contact information on its fake website.
The BBB URGES EXTREME CAUTION and asks that you verify that you are dealing with the legitimate company, which is actually and physically located in Waupun, Wisconsin, before making a purchase and providing any payment.
The Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin is unable to take complaints against the scam, but advises consumers that have made a payment, but have not received their vehicle, to contact the FTC and the FBI at the links below. Both the FTC and the FBI have international complaint reporting procedures for scams.
