On December 2 ,2021 GMW Freight Services-Canada sent an invoice for ********** and inflated charges for $3818/- pertaining to a shipment which even had not arrived . Generally other company charge maximum $200/- on our protest and on the request our vendor or his agent **** ***** ******* , ********** they reduced it $3677.35. Again on February 4th at the time of arrival of the shipment , we received another invoice for $ 434.05 from GMW Freight Service - Vancouver for the shipment charges which they had already collected from us in their previous invoice , however, we had no choice but to pay them as we needed the shipment. As the shipment was arriving in the first week of January, we wired the due money to our Vendor ie ***** ******** *********** on 23rd December to get the Telex Release of the shipment. We paid US$10193.73 After receiving our payment on January 3rd, they e mailed us the required Telex Release B/L. Telex Release of B/L is treated as a proof that consignee does not owe any money to shipper + Shipper does not owe any money to the shipping line or its agent as it is issued by the shipping company or it is agent by putting the stamp original surrendered or cancelled. Besides submitting the required documents after paying US10193.73 to the shipper + USD 4111.40 to GMW Freight Service + paying custom clearance charges + GST but only at the time of releasing the shipment, they informed that their counter part has cancelled the telex release and issued us another invoice of US$23500/- towards freight amount, which was already paid. We were told to pay new invoice and get the shipment. GMW Freight Services had all the required documents from the beginning and did not raise any objection however at the time of delivery they had problem. They overcharged us by $4000/- and also acted against the rules by not delivering the goods after getting all the required documents. They are part of the **** with their ********** counterpart Tks
