My experience with the company has demonstrated a consistent pattern of bad-faith dealings. My first experience (February 2022, order: **************) was to sell an **** gift card. It went smoothly, whereby I submitted details and received ******* e-Transfer payout about one week later. I was actually quite impressed. My 2nd experience (March 2022, order: **************) was very different. I had submitted a **** *** gift card for sale with e-transfer payout. GiftCash ***** the balance from my card and then proceeded to say I used it after selling to them and I’d be getting no payout. I fought **** ****, opening an investigation with **** *** for gift card fraud *** ********** * ********* **** ***. It was only at this point that Kristine admitted “upon further review” GiftCash had drained the card and had made a clerical error. To compensate, I was given an extra ~$20. This fight with GiftCash went back and forth for at least a week. Two years later (October 2024, order: ***************), I am fighting with ** ******* *********** support staff. I submitted 2x ********* and 1x ********’s gift cards October 21st. November 5th I received an e-transfer from GiftCash for less than agreed upon. The reason: they no longer accept ********’s gift cards. I said, well that’s not my problem, you did when I sold it to you. Their next reason: we couldn’t process it because we didn’t have the PIN. I explained the website never asked for it; I’m happy to provide it. Then: nope, we won’t be able to buy the gift card from you again. So after waiting weeks, here I am again. I have yet to see if they ***** my card balance again or not. GiftCash is not this friendly shop they make themselves out to be. It’s a *************** buyer playing by its own rules, ** ********* ****** A deal isn’t a deal with GiftCash till you’ve got cash in hand.
