We were initially pre-approved for a loan with a 7.99% interest rate, and we knew this pre-approval could possibly change when the final loan was processed. We were prepared for the possibility of the loan conditions adjusting. To confirm, we called *****, the sales agent, and asked if the loan had gone through under the same terms before changing our insurance policy to the new car as they were requesting this confimation. He assured us, "Yeah, it went through and it was approved." The next day, we received an email from Lys, the store manager, saying, "Congratulations on your new vehicle," and confirming that the loan had been approved, without any mention of how it had changed.When we walked into the dealership to finalize the deal, we were told that our loan had "increased a little", jumping to a *****% rate. This meant an additional $20,000, increasing our loan somewhere from $40,000 to $60,000. I requested an overview of the loan options they had explored for us to understand what kind of lenders they work with and what they were offering their customers. What I learned was that they seem to "shoot in every direction" to get customers approved, including offering loans with exorbitant interest rates as high as *****%. This made me question the ethics behind the deals they were pushing. I would be curious if their financial manager would ever recommend these types of loans to his own family members, even if they were in desperate need of a car. This is a matter of ethics and integrity.But "little" did they know that I was waiting for my documents to be returned and I heard the financial manager, who never even showed his face, shout, "Are you f%#$^$% kidding me?" when he learned we were walking away from the deal. The store manager responded, Yeah, we did the best we could.The best they could do wouldve been to pick up the phone and let us know the entire picture, so we could make an informed decision.
