I am a Active Duty military Member with Tricare insurance that covers my children as well. My son was seen September of 2022 at this facility. I received a call from a Debt Collector on 9 April 2024 for an unpaid bill at this business. Prior to this phone call, the company never called, emailed or text me or my wife about an unpaid bill, that is covered by insurance (Tricare) since I am Active Duty Military and Tricare referred me to this company. I called the Tricare claims/billing department and they have no record of this company filing any claims. I called and spoke to the company and they said they have a filed a claim but it was denied by Tricare, yet they never attempted to notify me or my spouse of this so how where we suppose to fix it? They said they sent a letter in October, November, December of 2023 not 2022. These were never received since we moved to Hawaii in June of 2023. So for a whole year they never attempted to contact us about this amount owed even though they had our information on file. Instead choosing to send it to a debt collector affecting my security clearance and job stability. Had they filed a claim with Tricare and it was denied by Tricare who also sends us a letter so we can work the issue to get the company paid, but this never happened which also supports Tricare's claim the company never submitted a bill, or they submitted it incorrectly and it was never received. I asked the company to email me any documents about this and they have not. Since this happened in 2022 my insurance will no longer pay the claim which means I had to pay out of my own pocket $275.72 for this companies negligent actions. This company should reimburse me due to their gross negligence and lack of communication. I was unable to file a compliant within the year required because I was not aware of this problem.
