Summary: **************** was 10/23/23 for $39.95. When asked if a maintenance contract was available, we were misled by the technician that the price would be $229. I wrote a check for $338.95. I called the office the next day and asked if there were other maintenance programs, and was told there were 3 levels, which we were not advised. We chose the basic plan for $198 and was told a refund would be issued. After many weeks and excuses, Dependable Air sent a check for $70. When I called them, the office manager said they would send another check for $31.00 Did not receive and on 12/5/23, I asked to speak with the owner, **********************. I thought I was speaking to her, but I now believe it was the accountant, ********, who was very rude. She led me to believe I was speaking to *******. I said I could not work with a company that treated their clients with such disrespect. "*******" said she would refund $229 that was owed to us. After numerous calls in December to find out where my refund was, I was finally connected with the accountant, ********. That is when I realized I was speaking to the same rude women I thought was the owner. She said, "Your paperwork is on the corner of my desk and I will send your check when I get to it." ******** started berating me when I asked when I would receive my check, and she said, "When I get to it!" and hung up on me. She called me back and said, "Did I want to continue the conversation or continuing arguing?" I tried to respond and she hung up on me again. We are elderly and on a fixed income. $229 is a lot of money for us. We just want what is owed to us.
