In December 2021 I recieved notification of orders that would PCS me back to Hurlburt Field in summer 2022. At that time I made the decision to re-rent my home in Niceville, Florida in order to save money. I asked a friend about local companies, as my previous company ERA was terrible and I needed someone better. I was directed to Back Stage Realty. I called the company and spoke with Jodie ******* I explained the issues I had had with ERA and that I needed a six month lease. I made a point to let her know I needed good communication as I was active duty military, have an inconsistent schedule and when left in the dark I tent to assume the worst, especially after my dealings with ERA. She assured me we could do a six month lease, especially in this market, and she would make sure I was kept in the loop. The house was on the market for less than 48 hours and tenants were going to move in mid Feb. As the move in date got closer it also was moved up. I reminded Jodie multiple times, both via phone and email, that I had two Ring cameras in the home and would have my friend remove them prior to move in. That didn't happen because the move in date was changed and I was not kept informed. Then I was charged to rekey the home, which the lease states is the tenants responsibility. They allowed two emotional support dogs in the home w/out proper documentation. I am allergic to dogs as well. They charged me to remove my washer/dryer and the tenants damaged them. I was charged for yard clean up in May when the yard is the tenants responsibility. The tenants moved out and did not clean, did roughly $2k in damages is the yard, took all the decals off my Frigidaire stove top & Dawn has informed me that I told her to refund the money, which I did not. I had planned to used the deposit to fix the house, knowing the dogs would do damage. I am now at least $3k in the hole with zero recourse & neither Dawn nor Jodie are responding to my communications.
