My car was towed from my apartment building, the reason stating that my parking pass was not displayed. When I called ahead to ask if I arrived and the pass was hanging as I remember, could I take the car without paying and I was told no that I would have to pay for the tow no matter what, even if it was towed by mistake. After contacting my property manager, they contacted this tow company to reprimand them for the unauthorized tow and told them not to charge me when I came for pickup. Unfortunately for me, I had already picked up and paid. So I called the company back and asked if they could issue a refund and they said they had spoken to the property manager and would issue a refund check by mail to the person who picked up the car (me). This took place on August 23 and I have not received a refund. I have called 3 times, each time met with the response I will check with a manager and then a hang up. I also attempted to send an email through their website and received no response.

VIP personnel targeted my association-registered vehicle at my townhouse complex where it was safely parked not impeding any operations only 5.5 feet from the door of my unit that I own. It was just outside of my garage stall partly under the balcony which, per our association rules, is a valid extension of said stall. I left my vehicle there as I routinely have for years as I temporarily worked in the garage and then proceeded into my unit to get ready for work. After a 20 minute gap inside, I noticed a truck towing my car. Mind you, this is an off-peak time and location for them to be doing random enforcement checks conversely to night time where unknown vehicles without decals are consistently using our shared guest stalls in violation of the complex rules. Neither myself nor my association manager received a phone call and no one knocked / rang the doorbell to make contact with me when they decided to hook up my car en route to the lot. I called VIP to which they were non informative and short with me when making simple inquiries. I eventually got to the location which, additionally, was ambiguous, unsafe, and unwelcoming - the female office worker was very rude and pushy with insisting on paying an absurd $184 with cash only, failed to provide me with any information on how to dispute / inquire further, lied to me when asked twice if there was a website for their company (there is), and dismissed me when I asked for photos of my vehicle at the time of towing for my records. Along with other subjective negative experiences with VIP, I can now affirmatively say that this towing service is the most resentful business in their respective sector on the island of O'ahu as they provide no effort to exercise any objectively reasonable discretion that other vendors would. These borderline scam operations VIP are running are inherently vile and should never be tolerated as they will only be conducive to a hostile society and ****** animosity for all parties involved.

My ***** Fit (TZX026) was towed from 1450 ********* (shopping center) shortly after midnight on 5/12/24.The car suffered significant damage during the tow.I spoke with *** at the window and he did not offer a walk-through of the vehicle nor explain that the invoice stated a release of liability from damage when I signed the invoice. After returning to the window, he verbally agreed that a walk-through was not sufficiently provided and that he did not explain what we were signing on the invoice.*** offered pictures of the vehicle prior to the tow and there was, in fact, no damage to the vehicle prior to the tow according to your photo documentation. I have an image of said picture of the vehicle through the computer monitor. I was instructed to submit a claim to the email provided, which I did, along with numerous follow-up emails and phone calls. No one has followed up with me to resolve the cost caused to my vehicle while being towed. I am seeking compensation for repairs to the vehicle from damage caused by VIP towing as well as a refund for the cost of the tow.

My car was towed from the front of my house on the morning of 8/11/24 possibly around the hours of 2-7 AM. I picked up my car at VIP towing at ********************************** on the same day (8/11/24) at around 1:30 PM. As I was driving my car off their property, I noticed my steering wheel was crooked and my car would not drive straight. I brought it to ********* in aiea immediately to have the car professionally assessed. I brought it in for an alignment but I have been advised that my left inner tie rod has been bent and will require replacement. I checked the damage myself and seen that the damage was definitely caused from the tow. It looks as if the tow truck driver has hooked onto the tie rod and pulled the vehicle from there, causing said damage. I was quoted by ********* approximately $600 for the repair. I declined the repairs for now and left with my vehicle paying $172.76 for the alignment. I also have pictures to prove that the damage was caused from the tow. My vehicle is now left unsafe to drive at the moment and it was not like that prior to the tow. I had reached out to VIP towing today (8/12/24 @ 5:00pm) at their number ************. I explained the situation and the person replied who told you to call here? And then proceeded to leave me on hold for 20 minutes. Seemed as if they were not going to pick up the phone again so I hung up. Ive read many bad reviews about this company being unprofessional and hostile so I hesitated to call back. I would like VIP towing to take responsibility and pay up for their actions causing damage to my vehicle. Ill also add that I spoke with my insurance and they may not cover it since the damages may cost less than the deductible rate.

My car was out on a Turo with a guest, my car got towed by VIP towing since my guest were parked in a guest parking which they were guests of the hotel. When my guests went to retrieve the car, they noticed a damage made by their towing company which clearly would be done by a tow truck, they advised them to have their insurance solve the issue. VIP towing were very rude to them and very dismissive and kept on telling them to have their insurance take care of the damage. This is unethical and unfair.

This all started when our association reinforced towing cars, which we agreed to the rules and abide by the rules. But VIP towing does not do their due diligence to make sure the hanging placard is there before towing the car. They look one time, and also the events of towing are all in the evenings so its hard to see the placard hanging from the mirror. When we arrive at the business, we are then told the picture did not have the placard on the mirror. I said look again, it is green, it is small and its hanging. Our car is parked on *******************************, we have been harassed and bullied by this company. This time I am fighting back. Our parking ticket is always hanging but the towing person refuses to do their due diligence in making sure the placard is there hanging. This time police were called to file a police report against the business. I have included photos of the card. This business clearly does not care and only wants to collect innocent peoples money. It has now come to the point of harassment and bullying as this is the 6th time our car has been towed. This business has lots of complaints according to YELP and their social media! They scratch peoples vehicles and are not held accountable for it. Our lawyers have already been called. This business needs to close or change their character and integrity of their business model.

On Tuesday, 7/23/24, I paid ****************** for three hours of parking at 6:25 PM which meant the parking should have expired at 9:25 PM. I came back to my vehicle the same night at approximately 8:30 PM and the vehicle was gone and towed. When I paid for the parking spot, the license plate was input incorrectly, but only by one letter. This means that there were 5 characters input onto the online parking payment page. Furthermore, all Hawaii license plates are 6 characters, so this is predatory business practice to accept a license plate that is less than 6 characters. The company is waiting for anyone to make a little mistake just to give the towing company a chance to tow.

They towed my car, that's fine I was parked somewhere over the time limit. I got to the tow company and waited almost 3 hours for my car to arrive with their tow truck. My car's exterior was dirtier than when it was picked up like they drag it through dirt roads. Worse yet, the brakes are now damaged and it wasn't like that before the tow. They are not answering their phones when I call so it seems like they are screening their calls with a caller ID.

My car was illegally towed from ************************** I was illegally charged a storage fee even though I paid to have my car dropped from the truck before it arrived on the storage lot, and I was required to pay in cash in violation of Hawaii State Law.

A vehicle I picked up from this tow yard after paying 1400 dollars. I documented the rear bumper had been removed and was not on my vehicle, I call many times and they have hung up on me and blocked my calls. I called the police and they said I have to *** them.
