Hello, I had my car repaired at ************** Automotive in ************,**, where they replaced the transmission in my silver **** Focus (vin # *****************) where the shop ordered the part through LKQ and the part was placed in the vehicle and the car was picked up and drove around the area until my son and father drove the vehicle to school in ********, **********. My son places for the team, so we repaired the vehicle for him, but it would not reverse on the second of week of having the car in ********. We called the shop in ******************* for guidance and he informed me to call the warranty company because it was National and there is a shop to look at the vehicle there. My son took it to the first shop and they did not want to service the car, so the car is at ****** where it was diagnosed and looked at to determine that the vehicle does need another transmission, so the shop worked with Lake ******* shop to get things moving, but no assistance from LKQ. I was finally given the claim number # ******, and spoke to a representative names ***, who informed me that they were not paying for anything and I can call whoever I want to call because they were not paying for anything. I informed him that I was going to call the attorney general and anyone else, because I was still under warranty and nothing was said about not covering my warranty. My son has been without a car for about 3 to 4 weeks, so we have no choice but to pay for the vehicle again, but we did not purchase the part and not sure why they will not cover the part because there is a warranty on the transmission. My husband and I would like to get put money back for the part after they will not replace the part.Business response

ordered a radio panel from LKQ online , order was placed for a 2020 **** Fusion S model and according to their description and pictures it matched. The part source car matched perfectly with My car , exact match , a 2020 **** fusion S model . What they sent was not even close to a match it was off a 2017 **** fusion according to the tad they attached . I tried calling them and even emailed pictures of the correct part . offered them My VIN Number. I was told to contact My dealer Then I asked for my money back , then I was told I would have to pay shipping and restocking fees Unacceptable as this is NOT My fault they sent the wrong part that did not even match what I ordered onlineBusiness response

I paid $3 to enter a lot where the part wasnt 100% to be in stock then found the part the wrong part walked outside less than 2 minutes walked back inside for a refund with my receipt and they refused to refund me my money back due to me not purchasing a $3 guarantee for 90 days thats robbery basically if I paid the $3 I couldve got a refund back so why do I have to pay $3 to get a refund back for the wrong part if I wouldve paid the $3 it wasnt none refundable I wasnt outside longer than 2 minutes and I couldnt get a refund back the part was only $13 so basically I am paying more then the part was listed the guy didnt explain to me I have to pay $3 to get a refund back on the wrong part I will give you guys 24 hours to fix your policy or I will contact the BBB, Ohio Attorney General and the **** and I want my refund back and want the guy fired because he got really disrespectful with me and he didnt expand how paying the extra $3 would work I never heard of someone paying $3 just to return the wrong partBusiness response

I looked on their website for a grille for my truck, I saw the one I need and it was listed as, with surround view camera, I called to verify if that particular one was available and came with the camera, I was told yes, so I proceeded to purchase online. The grille came without a camera, I called and I was told since I ordered it online, I was not able to get my shipping cost refunded. The website clearly states WITH CAMERA. they need to say " camera not included" or camera sold seperately.Business response

Chrysler produced 2 versions of that grille. One to be used with a vehicle equipped with a camera and one to be used in a vehicle that does not have this camera. It does not include the camera.

I am rejecting this response because: I do understand that there are 2 versions of the grille, but you are selling used parts off of a vehicle, the description of the item stated ***** w/surround view camera, it does not state anywhere that the camera is NOT included or sold separately and for the price i would not have thought it was just for the grille only. I also called and I was told that the camera was included, that the ONLY reason why I placed the order online. I have since then returned the grille and yet I still have not received a refund.

I am rejecting this response because: You cannot tell me that no one promised me more than that, I was told that the grille came with the camera by the sales representative, who then proceeded to give me 2 quotes. Either way, the grille has been returned and I know now to have everything recorded and to order off the phone vs online.

Bought a transmission from this company. Was never offered an extended warranty. Received transmission and it is under warranty for part replacement only and not labor. Transmission never worked from the beginning and labor will be charged twice due to need to replace it.Business response

I purchased 2 parts back in April from LKQ. I received one but the other part got cancelled. When finding this out I re ordered the part that was canceled. When receiving that part, it was the in correct one. Received a refund for the in correct part.Have yet received a refund for the part that was cancelled originally and I never received. I have texted out to and spoke to many people at LKQ and was even told they would get back with me and havent. I am extremely flustered and at a loss of what steps to take next to receive my money back.Business response

I purchase 2 side mirrors and when I put the driver side mirror it does not fold. The passenger side does not have the blind spot mirror as it stated on line and the paperwork it came in.Business response

Hello BBB,On May 5, 2024 at 1:48p.m. we purchased headlights in the total amount of $104.91. The car headlights at LKQ pyp Oceanside, ************************************************ with their phone number ************** for a HID headlight that didn't even exist inside this Halogen headlight. We were charged for something we never received nor wanted because it would blind other drivers, yet their pricing was wrong or incorrect. The cashier/manager didn't know how to refund us so she argued it was a HID headlight but couldn't prove it. Again, we wanted Halogen headlights, NOT HID as it would blind other drivers. We told her "You are charging us for Xenon HID Headlight unit when I know these are Halogen. You are charging us for HID headlight that didn't even exist inside this **** Fiesta 2012 headlights!" She overcharged us for items we never even received nor did we want. She didn't know how to refund us so she said "I don't have to explain myself." Again, we explained to her H11-B headlights are the type of low beam bulb and is only offered as a Halogen bulb, not HID. The headlight is a reflector style headlight, not a projector. HID can only be used as a projectors, not reflectors for safety issues of blinding other drivers. We just want to be charged for the correct item we purchased, yet they are charging us for incorrect headlights. She refused to assist us as she was continuing to eat her cheeseburgers and fries and we felt disappointed and disheartened as our grandparents and parents were also loyal customers with ********************** and never experienced any problems until now. Even on their own website they were charging for the correct Halogen headlights but when it purchased it in person it was a different high price, which is false advertisement not matching the website price to the actual in-person price misleading customers. Placed an order for a used transmission on 5/08/2024 work order# ********* location LKQ of ********* and went to pick up transmission on 05/09/2024 I installed the transmission 2 weeks later . And the transmission was defective. I called and was told for the warranty I need to take to a shop and have proper diagnosis to show part was defective. I took it to the ****** dealership service **** and they confirmed it was a defective transmission. I opened a warranty claim with LKQ. Was told all of their products come with a 6 month 6 thousand mile warranty. and a warranty specialist reached out to my service advisor and they couldnt come in contact with each other. They both left voicemails to each other. My service rep left a detailed message to LKQ on why the part they sold me was defective. I been trying to reach ********************************* the person who sold me the transmission at his direct business number ************** and ************** but no response. I have called the customer support number and been on hold for hours and no response. I just want my money back and I will get another transmission elsewhere, if possible I want a refund for the diagnostic which was $219 since it was only for LKQ to warranty out my product and have it replaced and they failed in doing so. $942.85 for the transmission plus $219 for the diagnostic for a total of $1,161.85Business response

sorry you've had such a frustrating experience. However, in speaking with service writer handling the diagnosis it was stated that the pcm memory was not cleared at install and the shift cable was out of adjustment. This resulted in a denied warranty for improper install.Respectfully,

I am rejecting this response because:hello the claims adjuster never spoke with me about the installation, the *** was cleared prior to install . The shift has no adjustment from internal failure inside the transmission assembly my paper work from the dealership proves this. I have copies of the diagnosis.

I purchased an engine from advance auto on hwy 192 in ****** ky who purchased the motor from lkq. I paid 800$ to have the motor installed just to drive it for 3 days and the motor blow and put me out of a vehicle for 2 weeks. I have sold some of my belongings to pay for their warranty replaced motor to be put into my truck because they wont reimburse me for the labor to have the 2nd motor from them installed into my truck. I will have Paid 1600 dollars for a 2900$ motor to be installed in to my truck. Advance auto has tried to get them to pay for the labor for my motor to be installed how ever they will not give an answer and keep beating around the **** hoping this will all go away. All i want is compensation for my motor replacement bill (800$) and i will be happy. They have a claim open for this the number is ******.Business response
