Was referred to DTM Construction (****** T. *******) for replacement roof by a respected, but now retired GC. Contacted *** late Sept. 23, but took months to call back. Mild winter. Finally inspected roof in early Jan. 24, but didnt provide quote until told other contractors were pressuring me to make a decision. He then swiftly sent quote via email and eagerly came over and accepted our 50% down on 2/22/24start very soon. Buckets of excuses later (winter, spring, and now summer expired) and at nearly seven months of him holding our money, we still had NO new roof! Hed toss in new issues to buy more time, such as suddenly saying we had hail damage and should file a claim (no damage; insurance denied). Wasted another month. Hed blame weather (for seven months!?) and then it was a crew members injury. By September we were DONE. Sent all text messages, details of calls, and few emails to our attorney. Im shortening this painful story, but in the end, *** agreed to send us a full refund. We oddly gave him one last chance to start, which he offered to do right after Labor Day. Said two other clients AHEAD of us (how?), but 11 hours after saying it was go time, he did a 180 turn and said his medically cleared employee was suddenly not well again, so hed just refund usthis was right after we asked for proof of other jobs/addresses and license/ins/bonds. He didnt specify the $ amount but claimed hed add extra to compensate for our inconvenience, loss of time, loss of interest earned on held $, and fact we had to start fresh elsewhere. Took another 12 days to receive the certified checkonly rounded up to the nearest thousand for an extra $125 for our troubles. **** said we were lucky to get anything back considering his multiple disappearing/silent phases. Twice he texted: Havent forgotten about ya! and once: Swear I havent run off with your money! Hes an affable story-teller (2 hr visits!), but dont buy it. Business Address listed NOT his!

    Dear Dr. ***** & ****** *****,

I sorry that you were unsatisfied. We try our best to accommodate everyone. I apologize that I believed you had hail damage, and met with your adjuster on 6/12/2024 to point it out, but the claim was denied on 6/15/2022.

Please look at your text message on 4/4/24 10:43 am where you tell me the direct vent fireplace was installed, and had rot on both sides and bird holes in it. You stated that needed to be addressed 1st.

On 6/25/2024 at 12:51 pm you texted me asking for an estimate for the rebuild of the chimney, on 7/5/2024 I responded with a time and material basis.

On 8/20/2024 I texted you that my main guy was released from ********* comp, which the ** you recommended would verify.

My business address is the same that is on my proposal. ************************************

Once again, sorry for the inconvenience.

    ****** T *******
