Originally when contacting Cory it sounded as though the project would go off without a hitch. He appeared friendly and interested in our desire to have quality painting done in the house. Unfortunately this ended up not being the experience we had, Cory was late to begin the project and then began rushing through almost immediately. There were a couple of mistakes that got made right off that were red flags but my wife and I attempted to be considerate, which was a mistake. Throughout the project Cory did not appropriately follow the plan and also did not follow common approaches to painting. He did not use tape on corners and did not use appropriate drop cloths in spaces. This resulted in messy lines and drips everywhere, he also accidently hit oil primer from trim on a two year old entrance door and sidelights which resulted in the need to paint the door. The door was damaged by him as with many other pieces of our house. He did not use primer on the walls which we were unaware of until the paint started peeling off the walls. He also sprayed the walls we had white even though we explicitly said we did not want the walls sprayed. This resulted in a different texture between the sprayed walls and the colored walls that he did not spray. In the bathroom the ceiling is peeling where he did not use primer. All in all, our house was damaged by Cory and we can not recommend his services. He appears to have positive only facebook reviews. This however is falsified by the fact that he blocks anyone who is unhappy with his services as he immediately did with us. I cannot stress this enough, our house was damaged by Cory and a highly reputable local painter is quoting a higher price to fix everything than the original project.
