Im not much of a complainer. Id much rather complement a company rather than complain. In saying that, the city of Detroit inspector said that Family Heating Cooling and Electrical did a good job installing my furnace and **.The downstairs is cool in the summer from the ** and the downstairs is warm in the winter, but the ** does not cool off the upstairs in the summer and the furnace does not warm the upstairs sufficiently in the winter. A man came out and made adjustments to the furnace/**, but it did not do any good.Also, when I tried to get a credit on my income taxes for the new installation of a furnace/**, the accountant told me my furnace was only 80% effective. In order for me to get a tax credit, I had to have a 90% effective furnace/** installed. Again, I contacted Family Heating Cooling and Electrical about this issue asking why they gave me an 80% effective unit instead of a 90% one. They told me that was what I chose to have installed. What do I know about furnace percentages or tax deductions? I didnt know I had a choice of furnace/** percentages to choose from. Also, I needed my dusk to **** light fixed. I asked how much would it cost me to have the light fixture fixed. I was told $99.95 labor plus parts. In hearing that, I thought they would bring a fixture with them. When the electrician came out, he told me I needed a new fixture. I had to go to the store, buy a fixture and then have someone to install it. I responded with, Thats not going to happen. They thanked me for the lemonade that I gave them and they left with my $99.95.

We at Family Heating, Cooling, and Electrical are not in business to over sell our customers, our estimators will offer products that are reliable and cost effective, If someone would like a product that would qualify for rebates/ tax credits, you may have wanted to mention that at the time our rep was out. Cost would have been 650 to 1400 more than the system we offered.The system we installed was installed properly and passed by the local mechanical inspector. Many second floor heat and cool issues are due to improper ductwork. Lack of return vents or not enough supply vents or a combination of both. We would advise to have someone look at it and advise. In regards to the electrical service call, It is ***** +parts our electrician did come out and find the problem, We cannot possibly stock and carry every possible light fixture, also everyone does not have the same taste in fixtures. If you were to get a fixture we would be more than glad to install it.
