In December 2020, BBB investigated Quality Shippers’ business practices. This investigation was prompted by complaints and scam tracker reports. This company is advertising job opening’s via LinkedIn and possibly other job recruitment websites. Consumers are “hired” by the business to do quality control. They are instructed to receive packages, inspect the items, print a new label and reship the items. This is a reshipping scam. The business is communicating with their consumers primarily via a dashboard they provide. In a typical reshipping scheme, the thieves are using stolen credit card numbers to purchase items and using the employees to help mail the parcels overseas. On top of a reshipping scheme, the consumers are asked to fill out a W2, which requires copies of their personal identifying information such as their social security card and personal ID.

Please be aware: with this elaborate scheme, in order to elude potential employees further, Quality Shippers used the license issued to Quality Team 1 from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs registry.
