    I had a very frustrating experience with Baumann & DeGroot ****************** With no estimate or quote provided, they spent an entire day working on my boiler and failed to address the reason for the service call, which was to bring the downstairs heating zone back online. On top of that, several leaks developed during their work, and they left the job site in that state. Subsequently, I had to empty a bucket that collected over 2 gallons of water each day. In short, they left the heating in my home in a worse state than when they arrived. When the technicians were packing up for the day, they admitted that the work should not have been performed and it would have been better to instead replace the boiler with a new unit. After communicating to the service manager that I would minimally like them to return to fix the leaks, he sent a $700 quote for services in addition to the work already performed, which I declined. This was far more than I was willing to put into an old boiler given that I was already considering replacing it.Additionally, I had a very unprofessional conversation with the service manager when I disputed paying the $500+ bill for the services. The service manager was condescending and refused to acknowledge their mistakes, which was very disappointing. One of his chief complaints was that I did not contact them to retrieve parts that they used in their service visit, which concerns me that they may salvage used parts and install them in other homes. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service I received and would not recommend this company to anyone.I proceeded to get several quotes from different companies, many of whom were critical of Baumann & Degroots work and recommendations for my home, which ultimately led me to decide to work with a different company. In contrast to Baumann & DeGroot, they took time to understand my goals, performed a full assessment, and laid out options before starting any work.

    This has gone on far enough. This is now the 3rd review from Mr. **** that I have had to deal with in this past week. Mr. **** is the most entitled and dense customer that I have had the displeasure of dealing with in quite sometime. No amount of level 1 stories that my kindergartner is reading or crayon drawings could help him understand his boiler system and the condition it was in when we were called out to look at it. He is upset that 50 year old valves leaked when we touched them to trouble shoot an air locked loop. Had we misused or done something improper to the valves we would quickly admit and rectify the situation. But when we use a valve (By opening and closing it) and it begins to leak because the seals deteriorated some decades ago I don't know what his expectation is on that. He was given 2 options for repair or total replacement within 24 hours to completely take care of his problem. He chose to have a different company out and replace (which we recommended strongly) Mr **** decided his best path forward was to ghost us and ignore all communication with us. When we sent him bills for the time and parts we had used he was shocked! (For Mr. ***** that means a feeling of surprise typically in a negative sense) For any potential customers looking on here deciding on whether or not to use our company. If you have an extraordinary sense of entitlement coupled with a significant deficit in common sense and intelligence, I would tell you that we are probably not your best fit. If you want a company that works their tails off to treat you right and asks the same from the customer, then please give us a call we will prove your intuition right.
