GLM Renovations, LLC was hired to perform extensive renovations to my home. ************************************ is the sole owner of the company. Many serious failures were a result of shoddy workmanship, work performed by unlicensed workers, and the unreliability of the owner and her subcontractors which resulted in long term delays of the project. The owner finally admitted to the magistrate that she was and still is not licensed.****** workmanship on several projects within the scope of work was proven at the court hearing and the costs were recovered.Extensive HVAC, electrical and plumbing work was performed by unlicensed sub-contractors.I had to hire 2 other reliable, licensed contractors to repair and rework essential parts of the project which were improperly done by GLM. In addition to the full recovery of costs due to the shoddy workmanship and work done by unlicensed contractors, a separate serious legal issue was experienced due to *************************** failure to pay her primary supplier for materials which I had proven to the supplier that I had paid her in full for the material. A lien was put on my home more than $22,000.00 due to her failure to pay for the materials. The lien discharged one year later only after legal action was taken.*********************************** also initially did not pay the door/trim supplier approximately $400 saying that I was responsible to pay directly for material even though I had proven that I had paid her in full for the material.*********************************** took 2 extended leaves and left her unlicensed sub-contractors unsupervised. The unreliability of *********************************** and her subs resulted in a delay in the completion of the project in excess of 8 months. GLM Renovations is poorly managed, the owner, ************************************, misrepresented her status as a licensed general contractor and failed in most essential aspects of my project.
