We discovered SKM via a flyer left at our house and decided to give them a try. We needed two light fittings installed on 12 ft ceilings **************** a 450 sq ft ceiling painting (8 ft & 12 ft high with stairs between two levels); a bathroom extractor fan replacing and new ducting installed and routed to a new vent on a different outside wall. **** visited very quickly to review the requirements and prepare a quote. He understood our specific needs and preferences and he provided a comprehensive quote in less than 24 hours. SKM quotes the labor. Materials are added to the final bill at cost - works well as long as you understand it (some other reviewers may not have) - or you can buy/provide materials. We bought paint, light fittings, extractor fan and accessories (flex hose, louvered vent, fasteners etc.). SKM's final invoice matched their quote other than adding a few small consumable items which we were unable to anticipate (e.g. paint roller supplies etc.)******, our handyman, was very versatile and business-like. He did everything professionally, communicated well, listened to our preferences and cleaned up thoroughly. We couldn't have wished for a better person for our diverse requirements. We only had one glitch. Upon our 50% down payment SKM arranged a date and said work should start then between 8:00 & 10:00am - unless we received a call to the contrary. We called the office before 9:00 on the day to confirm it was still on (it was), then again around 1:30pm when no one had appeared (we had to leave a message). Shortly after that ****** called to say, due to another urgent job, he couldn't start until the next day. But he then put long hours in and completed all the painting (two coats) & light fittings' work in one day. He came back immediately after the Holiday and did the extractor fan in half a day. We're very happy with everything. But we recommend calling a couple of times just prior to the start to re-confirm the schedule is still on.
