First of all they don't have their own truck they brought an Enterprise truck rental. When the guy first got to our place he started talking about additional fees because of the stairs and then it turned out that they already knew about the stairs and it was already in the price. secondly, the company when we booked with them gave us a discount on the fuel surcharge which is a *****% charge and we weren't supposed to pay that. They also knew that we had a 10x15 storage and a one bedroom apartment that we were moving. Because we are moving two households, but one household was already reduced to a storage unit. Our storage units was also on the first floor first storage by the door. We signed a binding quote for $8,000. We got $750 taken off and the fuel charge taken off because of the time that we signed the contract for the moving. In the end we are being charged ****** dollars. Which obviously we can't afford because we were told our binding quote was exact and would not be changed. So now we have lost our $2,000 deposit and we are going to go wherever the h*** they put the truck and move our stuff into a U-Haul if they let us. I told them just to unload it and drop it in a parking lot and I'll load it ** in a ****** and go myself. But here's the kicker they drove off with the truck and no one is answering our calls or our emails so hopefully I can get my stuff back tomorrow. When you're moving this is one of those nightmare situations that you have dreams about that never actually happened because that's crazy. What stresses me out more is if they do actually leave with my stuff I don't trust I will get it all back.No hidden costs?
