The vendor made three visits to my home to repair a washer. The first visit was about thirty minutes to assess the situation. The next two visits were about a week and two weeks from the first visit and each of those visits lasted over 4 hours and over 3 hours respectively. Based on the inability to resolve the problem the vendor requested to schedule another visit another week later to pick up the washer and bring it to their shop to complete the repair. I was originally told that this would take about a week. However, they ended up keeping my macing for 3 weeks. During the 3 weeks that my washer was in their possession, I called several times and kept being told that they were working on my washer, ordering parts, sort staff, etc. Each week I would contact the vendor to check on the status and try to get details of the work that was done, needed to be done and the estimated time to complete the work. Eventually after discussion with the manufacturer they stated too that I should call to get my washer back and they would work with me directly to resolve the issue. When I called the vendor, I was told that this was not fair as they needed more time, I was also told that they would remove all the parts that that had put in the washing, parts that are covered under warranty. The washer was returned 3 weeks after they had picked it up. The total time that the washer was under repair was just over 6 weeks and they never completed the repair. The issue is that the vendor failed to communicate the progress with me and lacked professionalism with their threat. I would not recommend working with this vendor. I am only happy that the manufacturer stepped in and assisted me in resolving my issue.
