If I could give 0 stars I would. A family member called and reserved the back room for an 80th birthday party. We were advised that split checks were not an issue and that there was a cake cutting fee but not what the fee was. Upon arriving we advised that we would be doing separate checks and she gave a hard time about it being a Saturday night-I’m not sure how this is an issue if we are all the way in the back I would assume this waitress didn’t also have tables in the restaurant. Then she advised a fake cutting fee- once again not what it was. The service was mediocre - drink refills took a long time, we were missing an entree and the manager came out and had everyone who ordered lasagnas to raise their hand as if it was our mistake not the waitress or kitchen staff, we were also never asked if we wanted coffee or tea to go with the dessert we brought. Lastly came the checks where there was a cake cutting fee PER person. A $25 small ******* cake ended up costing over $100 because each person was charged $4 cutting fee even for a 2 year old toddler. This wasn’t a banquet event and honestly had we been advised of this we would have precut the cake or cut it ourselves. When asked to speak to a manager he walked by a family member in the hallway huffing and puffing about having to speak to a customer. He didn’t seem to care that a $25 ******* cake ended up costing over $100 due to their cake cutting fee. We have made sure to post on social media for all to know about our experience and no one in our party of around 30 ppl will return. I worked in the restaurant industry and when I posted this experience none of my fellow servers and bartender friends could believe it. Lastly, a credit card was lost for a bit by our server and when the customer said he was going to tip her cash not on the card she said oh ok and agreed with it - till we told the person that would be a double tip since gratuity was already included but the server had every intention of double dipping
