I had TIAA for my 403b retirement. I retired at 65. I attempted to set up my monthly payments. They could never get my payments out in time. Later I decided to remove all funds from TIAA. The funds that were in an annuity I could not move. From March 2024 to August 2924 they sent me the incorrect forms. Delaying me from getting any funds. I had to contact my employer HR to get my funds. They even had trouble getting the correct forms. Finally by the end of August it was set up for me to receive my payout every month. I requested the first of every month. It had been two months and every month I have to call and plead for my monthly payout. Every time it is a new reason. When I worked as an administrator at my company people who retired called constantly stating that they could not get their funds from TIAA. I knew this was a problem going in., beware TIAA lies to you, provides incorrect forms over and over while you have to pay each time to get each wrong form notarized. They do this to so many people. Plus they cannot seem to make monthly payments on time. You are at their mercy as to when they choose to process the payment and send it. The staff or incomptand you are lied to constantly.

Mrs. Mangino wrote our representatives provided incorrect forms and information delaying her payments, and that TIAA does not process her payments on the first of each month, as requested. While we are pleased to confirm that Mrs. Mangino’s retirement income was established, we can appreciate her concerns. The level of service she described is not the level of service we strive to provide to our clients. Additionally, certain payments are processed on the second business day of each month, as detailed on Mrs. Mangino’s payment confirmation statement(s).
