I am writing to file a formal complaint against ******** and/or Belpre Furniture regarding an unresolved issue with a recliner & purchased from the Belpre Furniture store. Below are the details of the purchase and subsequent issues: Purchase: - Product: ******* ** ****** ******** Power Rocker Recliner w/ ADJ HR special order - Order Date: August 8, 2023 - Delivery Date: November 2023 - Purchase Location: Belpre Furniture, *** ********** ***** ******* ** *****  Issues: On or around May 8, 2024, I noticed significant color changes around the area where individuals rest their heads on the recliner. I promptly contacted Belpre Furniture to report the issue. Our sales person (P) asked us to take and email photographs of affected areas and forwarded them to Belpre Furniture. The photos were emailed on or around May 9, 2024. P later contacted and stated that she forwarded the photos to ******** and they refused to cover the repair costs, attributing the issue to body oils, which they consider improper treatment and thus not covered under their warranty. At the time of purchase, P never explained this significant detail nor did she provide us with a copy of the policy. P contacted me again on May 24, 2024, and stated ******** agreed to pay 50% of the repair costs. At this point, I requested to have a professional come to examine the recliner and determine the exact cause. I called P several times and was told that I could only speak with P, and she was unavailable. P finally returned my call on or around June 13, 2024, and stated a professional was denied. In addition to ********’s warranty, I also purchased an extended warranty from Belpre Furniture, which was supposed to cover issues after ********’s warranty period ended. However, Belpre Furniture has stated that the extended warranty will not cover the problem because it is deemed preexisting. I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope for a swift resolution.
