Hello, on May 24th, 2023 I paid a $520 application fee for DFW Lash University and signed a contract for enrollment. It did state that if I was enrolled the application fee would be non refundable. However I did not end up enrolling because I found out on August 1st that the school seemed fraudulent because my father went to the building and no one was there (this was during their stated business hours around 9:30-11am) He waited for an hour for someone to show and then he spoke with neighboring businesses who stated that no one was ever in the building. They tried to charge us tuition after I had already stated I was no longer interested in the program and they were trying to change the date on the check to before I stated I didnt want to attend so that they could take the money. They ended up refunding it when we said we would report them and they said theyd cancel my enrollment papers and documents (which we have an email stating) However, they never refunded the application fee even though they stated they would refund everything and also with them canceling my enrollment papers, the enrollment contract stating the application fee is non refundable also should have been void. I reported the charge as fraudulent however, they responded to my bank stating I signed an enrollment contract. I also have looked them up on the **** website and have found that all their licenses including the school license is expired. They still keep emailing me bills when they said theyd be cancelling my enrollment and contract. The lady who works there, *****, called us so many times that day after we told her we werent interested that we could consider it harassment. All I want is my $520 application fee back, and for someone to investigate if they are a legitimate school, no one is ever there and their licenses are expired on the **** website. Even if I signed the contract it should be void based on their own statements and also due to the fact that their licenses are expired.
