Work not completed but used our insurance as his personal bank account

WE roofed their house in Oct 22, We gave her a FREE Upgrade to a Double Laminated roof, we gave her a Free Ventilation and we gave them a discount of **** off Insurance agreed upon amount. She had bad wood fascia and we got her a ********* at cost. We made nothing on his work. We only took first payment of $5033.63. We collected second payment of $5000 Jan 1, 23. We continued to argue with her insurance to get more money on roof and her Interior Repair which the homeowners were going to do themselves. **** 2023 we got her insurance to agree to give her an additional ****** on roof and I got her an additional $2836.58 to go with $423.78.for her interior repair. She got all the money for that. Insurance sent ALL Monies to homeowner. I then billed her for final amount which she paid, $2197.00 SF INS never did pay me for the starter shingles which we installed. The adjuster lied to her and told her I was billing her insurance company for work that I did not do. I called him and he made an outrageous statement that most roofers do not run starter shingles up the ***** ( the sides) and so he was not going to pay for them. I informed him that I have Never seen one roof in my 36 years in ****** that did not have starter shingles up the ***** and furthermore; it is required by IBC (Int'l Building code ) and All Shingle Manufacturers. He then ask me to send that info to him which I did. I did everything I could for these people. I am sorry they did not appreciate it.
