We will happily explain once again the procedures and charges associated with your account. The procedure your pet recieved was not "just a routine spay," it was a pyometra surgery which is a potentially life threating emergency. We understand that emergencies happen and can not be predicted. Due to this, we agreed to let you make your initial payment of $300 and had you fill out a financial agreement, which you signed, stating you would make regular payments until the bill was paid in full. Your statement that you "paid an additional $400" is not acuurate. Our records indicate you did make your initial payment and one addtional payment of $100 towards the original bill. Your pet was seen several times after the original procedure/bill and you did make several paymets towards those visits but did not pay them in full. After eight months of no payment and no communication from you, we attempted to reach you through our collection agency. After six months of no payment or communication with our collection agency we had no choice but to write your bill off. Once a bill is written off, it is our company's policy, if the client reaches out for services, the bill must be settled in full for us to continue to service you. (We consider this more than fair to ask you to settle your account with us, especially considering the time frame in which we have been unpaid for the services rendered.) We had you fill out that financial agreement in good faith that you would settle your account in a timely manner. When you reached back out to us in August because your pet needed medication our Receptionist followed policy and explained your account would need to be paid in full and then we would happily see your pet. You then ask us to simply send home some medication without seeing the pet and you would pay for that only. Do you realize you asked us to do something illegal? We can not prescribe a medication to a patient we have not seen in over a year. Our receptionist also asked if you would like to speak with a manager. You choose not to and hung up. If you are un willing to communicate with us, we feel there is not much more we can offer. To address your statement, your dog is not on a "no service list". As explained earlier, once your bill is paid in full we could render services to your pets. To imply your dog can not be serviced by other veterinary hospitals because of Crab Orchard Vet is completly false. We have no say in what other offices do. Thank you.
