I got a wisdom tooth extraction surgery at Cascadia Oral Surgery in ******** **, by ***************** ****. He did not take the full tooth out, buthe cut it in half, saying that the tooth was touching the nerve. After surgery, he did not prescribe me any antibiotics. so after a week, the tooth got infected, and the pain was at the point that even the strong opioid painkiller was not working. I contacted Dr. **** to tell him is infected, but he carelessly didn't want to take a look at it, he just prescribed Amoxicillin.The new prescription did not stop the infection, and it swelled up more and more. I had to go to the *** and the physician confirmed that the infection was too much, and it was the negligence of my dentist not to have given me the antibiotic from the very beginning. He also added that the amoxicillin he later prescribed was way too weak for this type of infection, so he gave me a stronger antibiotic.I had to send a message to Dr **** to say that if he keeps neglecting my unusual tooth situation, I will leave him a negative review. He answered ''do it, I will remove the review.'' A very childish and unprofessional reaction.2 days later he finally agreed to see me and took the **ray. He repeated that all was normal.I showed the **rays to other dentists and they said:1- Dr **** overcharged you for this surgery 2- This procedure did not need any bond grafts, he overcharged you for the bond grafts($620), and the **rays show there are no bond grafts added 4- He should have used membrane to cover the tooth to prevent the hole and dry socket, and food getting stuck in there 5- He should not have used the dissolvable stitch but the silk one so that the stitch would hold the gum together for a longer time then the tooth wouldn't get infected or dry socket.6- He could take off the full tooth, so leaving half of it can cause so much trouble 7- He should have given me antibiotics from the very beginning to avoid this long infection
