      On Oct 11 2022, my wife and I entered into an agreement with Campground Membership Outlet to handle the sale and transfer of our Thousand Trail Elite membership and were to receive $2000. We subsequently received a letter from Thousand Trails dated Nov 14 2022 advising us that our membership transfer was complete. On Dec 14 2022 Melissa finally advised us that our payment would be processed and sent out by the end of the following week. On Jan 2 2023, I emailed Melissa to confirm the check was sent to the correct address and she acknowledged it was. As of the Jan 9, I advised Melissa we still had not received the check and she said she would have the bank stop payment and issue a new check sent priority mail and someone was supposed to provide a tracking number. No one did. Jan 17, Attempts to contact Melissa via phone message and email receive no response. This scenario is very similar to what others have experienced. Can you help us?

      I do see there was an oversight and delay in regards to this seller.

      We did rectify the error and had already processed and sent the seller their funds and notations show, that we communicated with seller when the funds were sent and provided tracking.

      And tracking shows delivered and received as well.

      We listed our platinum TT with Mel from CMO and the agreement to list with them was sent to us 8/19/22 & immediately returned with the $250 fee. We listed at the suggested price from CMO. There had been no correspondence or update from CMO so in November we reached out. They suggested we lower the price so we did. They called back later the same day saying they had a buyer, Chad Hoel, & sent us docs to sign to approve & initiate the transfer. This was 11/9/22. Two months go by, again, no correspondence. I called multiple times & the phone just goes to voicemail no matter the day or hours. 1/3/23 I called & left a VM, no response. Called again 1/4/23 & got a return call. I was told initially that we didn't have a buyer. I told her she had sent us docs & we were supposed to be within a transfer. She back pedaled & said she was looking in another place & that was true. When I asked about when to expect final docs from TT & payment she said that it should be complete & a check in the mail on 1/13/22. She also told me to take my dues off of auto pay because the buyer would be paying them for Jan. 1/11/23 we get an e-mail 15 min before closing time from Mel saying she's been out of the office & our membership type hasn't been moving much. She suggested that we lower our sales price yet again. That puts us at just about half of what was originally suggested & we listed at. She tells me they are moving in 1-6 months typically. It was stated that the original buyer backed out chose a different membership level. It also said "Reach out anytime along the way as well." And yet, we can't response. I called 5 minutes after the e-mail was sent according the time stamp & continued to call multiple times for the next 10 minutes hoping to get someone. I left messages with both Kim & Melissa & sent them both e-mails. No response. TT transfer department has no record of a transfer ever being initiated for our membership at all. There's no record docs being sent & then canceled.

      On or about October 12, 2022 we contacted Camp Ground Membership Outlet about selling our Thousand Trails membership. On October 17, 2022 we signed and returned the sales forms provided by Camp Ground Membership Outlet to sell our Thousand Trails membership, for which we were to receive a check in the amount of $1,800. On November 13, 2022 we provided Camp Ground Membership with signed copies of the Assignor's Declaration and Transfer Fee and Dues Information, which they had sent to us. On November 27, 2022 we sent an email requesting the status, as we had heard nothing and had not received our check. On December 22, 2022 we sent another email requesting the status as we still had not heard anything nor had we received our check. We received an email from Camp Ground Membership Outlet that they showed the transfer was complete and that a check was just mailed on December 19, 2022. On December 29,2022 we again sent an email requesting the status and asking where the check was sent. We received a reply stating that the check was sent to our current location, as we went south for the winter, but we were also asked if "that was still a good address", as if they check had not yet been mailed. We replied that the address was correct. On January 4, 2023 we sent another email stating that we still had not received the check and recommended they place a stop payment on the check and issue another. We received a reply which stated that a request had been made to do a stop payment and get a new check issued and sent via priority mail, with a tracking number sent to us. As of the date of this complaint (January 9, 2023), we still have not received a tracking number, and of course, we have not received our check. We would like the delivery of our check.

      On September 8, 2022, I entered an agreement with Campground Membership Outlet to sell my Thousand Trails membership to them for 1500 dollars. on November 2, 2022, I received a letter from Thousand Trails that my membership had been transferred from acct. #********* to acct. #********* I have yet to receive payment form Campground Membership Outlet. On November 15, 2022, Melissa told me a check had been mailed out. I contacted Melissa on December 5. 2022 that we had not received payment. On December 6, 2022, I was told the check had been mailed, could I confirm my mailing address which I did. That same day, Oct. 6th, I contacted Melissa again, that we had not received payment. On December 7, 2022, she said that they would put a stop payment on the check and send me a new check by priority mail with a tracking number to avoid any other issues and that someone would be contacting me with a tracking number as soon as it is available. On 12-16-22 I again e-mailed Melissa inquiring about said tracking number, have not received any response since.

      Entered into an agreement to sell/transfer campground membership to Thousand Trails for $2,000. Received letter on 7/6/22 from Thousand Trails that transfer was completed. Contacted Melissa @ Campground Membership Outlet on 10/20 regarding $2,000. check. She replied on 10/20 that check was mailed. I replied that the check has not been received and asked for check date & whether or not it has been cashed. She replied 10/21 that she will look into it and asked me to confirm my mailing address (which was on every email I sent her) but I sent again. Got a reply on 10/24 that the address matched what they had on file and she will request accounting to contact bank & do a stop payment & will get a new check issued to be sent via priority mail with tracking. Someone would contact me with a tracking number as soon as it was mailed. Emailed her on 11/12 to request a payment update as was given no tracking info and no check. Received no reply. Another email on 11/22 that I was still waiting for a reply and update and was losing patience with them. Called Melissa on 12/13 and left a message to call me and did not hear from her. Still nothing from her. This has been going on since April 2022 and just want to receive a response from them and the $2,000. check and be done with them. Can you help?

      This one had been overlooked and we escelated for processing. Confirming that the seller will receive their confirmation of tracking number that payment has been issued between Wednesday and Friday. It has been completed and printed.

      04/08/22-Spoke w/Melissa & signed contract with Campground Membership Outlet to sell our Thousand Trails Membership for $1500 -All communication from this point forward was initiated by us.Melissa provided no updates unless we requested one. We went back and forth a few times over the next several months about there being a buyer, then it falling through, and then there being another buyer 9/29/22-Thousand Trails issued letter stating membership had been sold 10/26/22 - Called Melissa to advise that no check had been received. Melissa stated it was mailed 10/21 and we should receive it any day now 11/15/22-Cathy emailed and left voicemail for Melissa advising that check had still not been received 11/16/22-Melissa emailed saying she would request accounting stop payment on check, reissue new check to be sent via priority mail w/ tracking number 12/01/22-Cathy emailed Melissa advising that we still had not received a tracking number 12/02/22-Melissa emailed a tracking number ********************) & said we should see movement within 24 hours. 12/07/22-Tracking number still shows no movement. USPS website says: Label created, not yet in system. A status update is not yet available on your package. It will be available when the shipper provides an update or the package is delivered to USPS. Check back soon. -At this point, we were getting fed up and becoming suspicious. We googled the company and checked the BBB site and discovered that our experience was similar to others and the run around while withholding client's funds is the pattern of behavior for Campground Membership Outlet. -Emailed Melissa and advised that if we did not receive our check within one week, we would be contacting BBB. 12/15/22 - No check, no contact from Melissa. USPS website still shows: Label created, not yet in system. A status update is not yet available on your package. It will be available when the shipper provides an update or the package is delivered to USPS. Check back soon.

      In July 2022, we signed a contract with this company to sell our 1000 Trails membership. In return, we were suppose to receive $1800. It was explained to us that the process would take about one month to complete. Once 1000 Trails approved the transfer, our $1800 check would be mailed to us. On October 12th, we received a letter from 1000 Trails that our membership transfer was complete. I emailed Melissa, our sales rep., the same day to advise we had received the letter with no response from Melissa or the company. After 2 1/2 weeks, on October 29th, without hearing anything from Melissa, I sent another email inquiring where our check was. She responded back that it had been mailed the day before on October 28th. 2 weeks later on November 9th, I sent Melissa another email stating that we had not received our check. I asked to have a new check issued and sent to me priority mail. 2 days later, Melissa requested our mailing address to issure it was the address they had on file. Another week went by without hearing anything from Melissa. On November 17th, sent another email demanding something to be done so we can receive our $1800. Melissa responded saying everything had been forwarded to accounting and they would be getting ahold of us. That was the last time I have heard from anybody at this company. I have tried to contact them by phone to actually talk with a human but my calls are not returned. I will upload all our supporting documentation regarding this transaction.

      On September 27th, 2022, I purchased a campground membership for $4550.00 and was told it would take about two weeks to transfer to my name after three weeks i tried to contact Ken at first i got no response. at around 4 weeks i got a response he said any day i called thousand trails and spoke to Jon he said the membership number i gave him has never been submitted i then tried to contact Ken again he finally texted me back saying the seller backed out and would refund my money its almost two weeks no refund.

      On July 7, 2022, my wife and I entered into an agreement with Campground Membership Outlet, authorizing them to handle the transfer and sale of our Thousand Trails Elite Membership for the amount of $1800. We received a letter from Thousand Trails dated September 20, 2022, notifying us that this transaction was complete. My wife contacted Melissa at Campground Membership Outlet the first week of October, asking when we could expect payment, and was told that the transaction was currently being processed by their accounting department and should be in the mail soon. As of this date, October 21, 2022, we have not received payment. We attempted to contact Melissa twice this week but were only able to leave messages. As of today, she has not returned our call. CMO also did not have internet or phones (only internal voice mail) for about a week following the storm, due to a downed tower. I do apologize if there was any lost or missing interaction due to the specific timeframe, but we will expedite your query and look into it immediately to rectify - and reach out to you with a response and resolution within 24 to 48 hours.       I authorized Campground Membership Outlet to take my Thousand Trails elite membership for resale on 05/04/2022. Their program pays $2000 for possession of the membership. After signing and faxing their documents I was told it would take about a month to process the payment. On 06/06/2022 I sent additional documents they required to finalize the process. On 06/27/2022 I received a letter from Thousand Trails stating that my membership with them had been terminated. As of this date, I have not received the $2000 payment that Membership Outlet claims was sent on 07/08/2022. I have left voicemails and sent emails regularly but have had no response since the claim that the checks in the mail. My Thousand Trails membership number was ********** This complaint is similar to others I have seen on your web site. The same people at Membership Outlet that others have dealt with tell me the same misinformation about my deal. Melissa C**** seems to be the primary contact. I have attached the applicable documents. Thank you!
