I signed 2 contracts with Musisca Custom Construction Co. in May/July, 2022. Additionally, as a 'bonus' for agreeing to go with Musisca, I was told (through an email that I was told would be as good as a contract as it was in writing) that he would also PRIME before painting the basement; and replace the front porch posts that are rotting(not done).Per the contract, I paid Musisca Const. $6,679.10 on 5/24/22 for the material deposit to begin work in the basement. Materials to include: provide/install 1 prehung wood exterior door at the bottom of the basement (no door purchased/installed); recessed lighting (which he installed more than I asked him for, and wouldn't alter it); 785.06 of drywall, tape, mud (large pieces of leftover drywall that he didn't need or use, was left in the garage in front of the doorway, along with 2 very big/heavy bags of quick sanding material); 29.69 sq. ft. of engineered quartz countertop, premium grade (no countertop was installed). Per the contract, on the first day of construction I paid Musisca Const. $4,174.44. This was to include the above mentioned projects: adding recessed lighting and repair spliced wiring ($3,500 cost of electrical work); frame in soffit around duct work, insulate ceiling (not done), drywall ceiling, tape, mud, and sanding; remove old flooring (which was sheet vinyl, not adhered). I pd. $4,174.44 for cabinet install; cabinets not all installed, those installed are done incorrectly and missing pieces. Per the contract, I paid Musisca Contst. $7,800.00 deposit for a 10'x12' shed, clean up/excavate of debris/overgrowth along the wooded area, install 2 catch basins along with 6" pipe and #57 washed gravel. This was all to be done before the end of July 2022 (verbal). I do not have a shed; there are no catch basins, gravel or pipe installed. Excavation caused issues with downspout drains; I will need someone else to repair the damage. The flooring was installed incorrectly and unable to walk on it in areas.
